This used to be a good brand but then they changed the applicator that the product is administered in. They put it in this asinine break open blister pack for some ungodly reason. I wish I could give zero stars. This is the most difficult way to administer this medication that anyone could ever imagine. First of all we're applying this to a 3 dimensional horse. You cannot squirt this stuff out pointed upward or sideways. At least a third if not more of the product ended up on the ground from squirting out of this idiotic tube before it ever made contact with the horses. It's like the people who designed this packaging had never seen a horse before. I guess they were trying to save money?! But I can promise you I will never buy this again until they fix their applicators. At least their competitor still uses the graduated squeeze tube so I know how much I am administering to my horse and it dribbles out nicely instead of squirting everywhere. This new packaging causes it to get all over your hands and everywhere EXCEPT the place they want you to put it and then I end up running out before I can even finish all the spots on the horse that I'm supposed to put it!! How on earth am I supposed to get it on his underbelly without making him lay down and roll over?! I'm sorry but my horse is not trained to do that. I will absolutely never buy this garbage again until they fix their packaging. Thank God their competitor hasn't changed their applicators! And believe me I don't give up easily, I thought maybe I could learn how to do this and it just took practice but after six times with the same results I am so frustrated disappointed and I feel absolutely cheated out of a lot of money. I can't believe anybody is giving this applicator any sort of decent review. That leads me to believe that those aren't real people and they are AI or they are magical horse trainers that if somehow convinced there are 1500 pound animal to lay on its back just so they can apply the medicine with this moronic applicator. I am convinced that whoever designed this never actually tried it. This is RIDICULOUS and you've lost a customer unless you go back to your old applicators.

Ticks are terrible. Worse than ever. We did a test. Half the herd got the treatment The other half did not. Two weeks later. The horses that got the treatment had no ticks Two weeks is recommended The horses that did not get treated were covered in seed ticks. I do not think it helps with flies at all. Worth it just to keep the ticks off. We are going to try to stick to the recommendation of application of every two weeks. Well worth the cost

We have aggressive biting flies that usually end up leaving welts all over my poor horses, even with fly sheets on. EquiSpot seems to really help minimize the bugs and it's really easy to apply. I can put it on without having to halter anyone, which is impressive as one of my horses hates anything being applied to his face. I have another horse who tends to have reactions to most fly products, but didn't react to this one! Will definitely be buying again in the spring.

Not sure about flys but that’s worked amazing for my horses that were more prone to ticks. Definitely a new summer favorite

The product appears to do the job but the method of application leaves a bit to be desired. I have a horse that cannot tolerate being sprayed (by anything, even water) so turned out to be a good alternative. Just is a bit messy. It’s nice too since it does keep the flies off for a week or two. We can’t always get out to the summer pasture to spray every day.

FINALLY! Something that actually works for flies!I've bought the cheap stuff, the sort of expensive stuff and the expensive stuff for flies.I've bought the stuff that claims it lasts for 2 weeks.I've bought the non-chemical natural stuff that says it's the best. And NONE of it lasted a day or two.I've followed the instructions. I brushed the horses down and then dampened the skin with the stuff. Nada! And I have been spending and spending and spending money.Until now..Someone told me about this spot stuff and I thought, hey, what the heck. And it WORKS!It does make the horses itchy a little bit on the first day of application. I admit my application method isn't neat, it's hard to be neat with the lame-o way the applicators are. But whatever...So, I apply the stuff every two weeks and my horses hardly get flies. Some days they get no flies at all.Compared to all the other times with all the other products, they would be covered in flies every single day or every other day... Their eyes, their bellies, their legs. So, I'd have to spray them daily and even then sometimes that didn't help. Now they get a fly or two. But not bunches. Now they are comfortable.I'm gonna stick with this stuff. It's good stuff. My horses are doing well. It's an excellent product.Recommended? YES!
