We use this frequently as we've had issues with sand colic in the past with our donkeys. This is such a great value compared to other brands in much smaller containers.

The weather is very dry and we have sand here. Don’t need a sand colic.

It's a horse supplement. Every Southern horse should be getting psyllium in their diet. Mixed with grain. I give every Sat and Sun to help deter sand colic. The product is way over-priced for the Ingredient which is standard and not rare or sophisticated. A human supplement, Metamucil, is a possible substitute and a fraction of the cost!

This is one of the best colic preventions you can have for the price. We use every 3 months and have had zero colics in 15 yrs with a larger herd of horses. Packaged well & product is good quality. Horses eat the pellets without a fuss.

I was using Sand Clear for years and then ran across this. It is so much cheaper and works just as well. My horse has no problem with the pellets and I have not had an issue with this product or my horse colicing since he has been on this which has been 1.5 years now.

have not received it yet but have fed this to my horses for four or five years and has helped in cleansing their system and colic free. Before I started giving this to my gelded stallion I had a $3,000 vet bill because of the impaction and his colic. Have not had a problem since then. I do keep a syringe of "say whoa" or something like that which is a colic product that I have used twice and saved me a trip to the Vet. A bit expensive at about $100 a treatment but beats a thousand plus Vet bill and possibly loosing my horse. It cured my horse within 2 hours, a real lifesaver - literally.

I have a horse that has a tendency towards chronic colic and this is the only thing that keeps me from spending the wee hours of the night pouring oil into him. All five of my horses love the flavor and readily eat this psyllium. I do the monthly seven day psyllium cleanse with a mid-week cleanse as well, and living in the sandy Sonoran desert, this is a lifesaver and beats the heck out of paying a $400 vet bill. Generally I add the psyllium to a mash which includes beet pulp, bran and oil, and the combination does a terrific job. I also have a Palomino who leans towards having the scours and the psyllium mash routine prevents that as well. He jumps right on this psyllium without hesitation and eats every bit.
