It’s unglazed which is probably why it’s so cheap. The one I received has a lid that won’t sit on it properly. So I’m sending it back. It’s a good size though, will fit 4 or 5 bulbs in it.

I wasn't sure this garlic mincer would really work but if does work like a charm. If you're using large garlic just quickly cut it into thirds. Works with mincing ginger root as well.

Surprisingly good at peeling garlic. Can't tell if it works better wet or dry - I suspect it's meant to be used dry, but sometimes I find that the garlic clove stays put better when it's wet.

My grandmother and aunt had the same as this when I was growing up. I like that it is neutral so it goes with any colour kitchen. I have about 3 and a half bulbs in thereof 2 really large bulbs. My garlic keeps fresher for longer since storing it in this pot.

I read the reviews, knew this was unglazed, and still ordered it because I didn't see how it would make a difference. Trust me, it does. First, the one I received had a lid that was white, and a body that was tan. Not ideal. It was dirty when I received it, so I washed it, and it took a week to dry out and go back to it's original color. Then I put the garlic bulbs in and put it on a shelf in the island. Note to self - stuff gets dirty in the kitchen no matter what. The first week - sauce splattered on this jar. I had it on the counter because I was using the garlic for the sauce. I should have put it away right after, but I got busy and didn't think about it. Sauce splattered on it when I was stirring. I washed it, but I'm pretty sure the pink splat is permanent. The only positive thing I have to say is that this is big enough for like 3 garlic bulbs, maybe more. And it's not like you can glaze this at home in your oven - that type of glaze is not food safe. I would have to find a pottery studio and sign up for a class to get this thing glazed. For now, I have it in a cabinet to hide the stain and keep it from getting dirtier.

This came exactly as expected. It was well packaged, and intact. It has a small footprint, so it doesn't take up too much counter space. I suspect you could fit 2 bulbs inside, we have 1 1/2 in there now. It does feel a little fragile, though. And the unfinished ceramic is going to be prone to stains. Knowing the type of people we are, this thing will end up dirty and/or broken before long. We're fine with that, but it's something to consider. All in all, we're pleased with it.
