When I purchased this, it was one of the few tension rods in a brass color in the market. It doesn’t look like real brass. It looks, well, like plastic… Not a great look. It has slipped a few times — we placed against subway tiles for a long time, until we finally relented and placed it against the painted section of the wall. Then it slid again and now I had an unattractive skid that I have to figure out how to hide or remove (will probably have to repaint…) After three years, I am finally replacing this item.

After reading some of the reviews I was concerned. Nice surprise, very happy with the rod. Very sturdy (I have a fabric curtain with a valence, beads and a liner) up in minutes no problem and I am very happy with the finish. If I knew how to attach a picture from my phone app I would have.

I bought two of these for curtain rods in the bedroom—they work great! Of course, your window needs the inset that accommodates a tension rod. They're a little chunky compared to regular rods, but they don't show once they're inside the curtain sleeves. Make sure your curtain sleeves are wide enough. The sleeve should be about 3" on one side of the top (opening of about 6" circumference). They're sturdy, are easy to adjust and stay in place once tightened.

Loved the color but I could not get the tension rod to work. I would twist it to the right tension, and it would slip back on its own. Could be something about my tiles, but I don't think so. Pretty disappointed.

I used this as a curtain rod. It was perfect for some old windows in my new home. It is very tight in the old wooden window frame and has stayed put. The ends are a thick rubber that is gray and blends with the silver rod itself. The adjustable end of the rod really is hidden inside the larger rod part, I had to pull it out and thought it was hidden well, almost too well. I used this for my 64" width window and it extended perfectly. Looks nice for the price point. I would definitely buy this for my shower as well.

Very nice color. Very easy to install. Won't stay in place unless you can seat it on top of the place where your tiling protrudes from the wall. If your shower doesn't have this separation between tiles and wall this rod probably won't work for you. We wanted to mount the curtain a little higher for tall people but couldn't do it. We tried tightening it very hard but it still fell down when the shower curtain was pulled open. Works fine when mounted with support underneath though.

This is a high quality shower curtain rod! I love the finish on this, too. It's not one of those cheap looking shower curtain rods either. Since this is a tension rod, this curtain rod fits tightly and does not slide around either. This is an expensive looking shower curtain rod, but the cost of it didn't reflect what it looks like...This was an affordable option for a bathroom upgrade and will likely match any decor!
