This 1” ball to 1/4”-20 thread adaptor is well-made, well-designed, and plenty strong for even the toughest off-road adventures. I used it to hold an insta360 x4 camera on the handlebar of my dual-sport motorcycle, and it worked great. I added a thin 7/8” diameter rubber washer to the platform surrounding the 1/4” bolt to discourage the camera from unscrewing, but the camera would have probably been fine without it.The 1” ball clamp adjustment is large enough to provide a significant amount of torque if needed, but my camera held extremely well with a fairly light twist, even off-road. The clamp sections are held apart by an internal spring which allows you to tighten/loosen it with one hand. The 1/4”-20 bolt and lower plate turn freely until you tighten the clamp.This adaptor is fantastic!
