(Check edit below) Such a pity as it looked good, but this mount just can't be tightened properly as the bolt heads are slightly bigger than the recessed holes in the mount. As you start to tighten it, the bolt heads bind in the holes making it impossible to turn them any more, so the mount never gets fully tight.The seller seems unable to understand the issue and instead of offering replacement bolts with smaller heads they keep asking if I am using the allen key provided.Looks like I have to give up and return it. This is the smaller version of the mount, and the issue might not affect the larger one.EDIT: I am still leaving one star because exactly as delivered it is unusable - However, I used a belt grinder to reduce the size of the bolt heads to allow them to fit and be tightened. After doing this, plus using thread lock for the ball part (which unscrews easily as supplied), the final result is actually very good. So if you can grind the bolt heads to reduce their width, and have thread lock for the ball, the finished result ends up being worth it. After modifications it is a 5 star, but only if you can do this.

It was too small to clamp on my 7/8 inch handlebar however it did clamp on my mirror so I kept it and will use it that way

Ram mounts will not tighten on this mount without wrapping ball to make it larger. Wrapped with a rubber tape and it now works, but not sure how long it will last. Also ball does not seem to tighten down on mount and no way to put a wrench on the stem to tighten. Used lots of red locktite, so we will see. Look elsewhere and spend more for a quality product. This isn't.

All the positives of the ram mount system but better looking and cheaper! I have one mount for my phone and a second one for my action camera.

Well made and feels strong. Comes with two lengts of screw. I bought longer ones and added a nylock nut to eliminater the risk of it vibrating loose. Happy that it will do the job.

I purchased 2 of these because I thought they looked better than the ugly black ones and the ones with universal fit inserts.The Ram ball comes separate and screws into the base. Easy to fit.The Allen Key that comes with it is soft metal. If you tighten down hard with it, you will round the end of the key and MAYBE even round out the bolt. I highly recommend using a better key and you can crank it down tight.It has a nicer profile but I know that is just an opinion.The range goes to 1/10" smaller than the mirror stem diameter so no need for spacers or adjusters, it works as is and doesn't rotate once tightened down.Plus you can get 2 of these(at the current price) that are better for the price of 1 the others.I'm using on the Primavera and GTS 300.

This company makes good mounts but this particular option didn't work out for me and my motorcycle. It doesn't seem to work with what I have. It might be great for a bicycle or scooter, but I'm not sure it has many applications otherwise. The material and hardware is good and useful, if you already have a specific application in mind.
