I was able to fix an old floor lamp with 2 pull chains - parts of the old chains had broken from years of use and I fixed the pull chains by attaching the parts that were still left with the new parts cut to the length I needed and the hooks allowed me to still use the decorative strings of beads that pull the bulbs on by tying the strings of beads to the hooks. The lampshade covers the fact that there are old chain parts attached to the new chain parts. I couldn't be happier - the lamp works like new now.

I rescued this old antique bird cage stand from a dumpster, got the rat poo off, polished it up, and used this bead chain set to hang a perma-place for plant cuttings to root. The ring at the top was left over from the dealer when I had my car serviced. This product provides tons of configuration options, plus there's a lot left over for the next time the Project Spirit moves me.

The hooks came already attached to the chains so it took a few minutes to realize that I did receive all the parts shows in the picture. The only parts that came separately were the four inline connectors. Aside from the initial confusion, the chains appear sturdy and should work well for my intended use.
