The panel had gashes in one side that ruined the surface finish. Fortunately the other side was clean and I was still able to use it.

Great value on an aluminum composite panel, painted matte white on both sides. I'm an artist and plan to paint on this solid surface instead of wimpy canvas. The surface will require soft sanding to provide tooth for oil paint. It was packaged unsecured in a single of corrugated cardboard with no corner reinforcement, so all corners were bent and will require a little straightening with a pliers, but I think I can handle that. It should have been packaged to protect from this damage. I see other reviewers are complaining about bent corners too
