Fake bread that looks like real freshly baked bread (minus the aroma)?? Yes, indeed it does. I work in a library and we put up a Day of the Dead altar every October and November. It is a way to encourage students, faculty, and staff to learn about this cultural tradition that is actively celebrated here in San Antonio, TX. On the altar, favorite food items of the departed are placed on the altar to welcome them back to realm of the living. This fake sliced bread loaf really feels like freshly baked bread. It is soft and squishy and has the texture of bread. I wish some of the other food items on the altar were this realistic.

The bread is cut diagonally and does not match the product pictures. The weird cuts makes it look less realistic since bread is not sliced that way.
