We have a refrigerator in our garage that was rocking because I guess one of the feet rusted. I got annoyed that every time we shut the door, the thing rocked. I was trying to think of something we could do to stop that annoyance. I googled it and saw plastic furniture/appliance shims. Looked on Amazon and bought these! With a little tap of a hammer, it went right under the rusted foot and wa-la...no more rocking! Plus being plastic it won't rot and they are heavy duty to support the weight of the fridge. Love them!

I used these shims to balance out my 55 gallon fish tank after moving the new location left my tank obviously unlevel water was higher on one side then the other. These shims slipped under then tank and stand easily while filled and running on my own. It was easy to adjust or add a second shim on top. I do wish they would snap off the excess easier. But hey they work great and havent broken

I hate using plastic unnecessarily so when someone recommended these shims to me I was hesitant. I usually buy the bulk packs of wood shims and they work well. But was recently installing windows and grabbed a pack of these and they were terrific. Very well designed to not kick out from pressure, and very easy to snap off any portion that sticks out. I've been using them on all exterior projects and any area that has the potential to get wet. I save the snapped off pieces and they come in handy in many ways — spreader, scraper, additional shim... I just carry a couple in my construction pouch now. Great product.

I used these to level an exterior hot tub on a concrete patio. The hot tub is 950lbs empty and around 4500lbs when full of water. These have handled the load without a problem. Best $10 I've ever spentUpdate: Its been a year and a half of being under 4000lbs of pressure and the shims are still doing a great job of keeping the hot tub levelUpdate: Now 3 years. Shims are still holding up wellUpdate: 5 years now. Still no issues.

Very easy to break off and use the exact size that you need. We used this to steady our heavy dining table (it has wine storage integrated) and heavy chest of drawers and this product worked beautifully. It is extremely reasonably prices and the packet has enough shims to last you for all your needs and then some. Highly recommend it.

I bought a TV to use as a larger monitor for our office laptop. After getting it, I realized that it felt like it was leaning toward me because I'm so used to having a PC monitor that I tilt away from me. I needed something that could provide a little angle yet look nice. These wedges blend in perfectly with the TV's feet and it's amazing how much of a difference it's made. I used 4 (glued 2 together x 2 feet to get the right height) but saved the rest of the first package. The second pack of 20 I gave to my dad as he's a tinkerer and would surely find a use for them. What a great idea these are. I highly recommend for their durability, appearance, and the ease of modifying to your particular use.

These are the best shims because they have good breaking points but they are too expensive. Way way too expensive. They have two dollar composite shims at lows I use now.

I was looking for a shim to help me tighten my squeaky floor. Although these EZ-Shims seemed well-made they could not be hammered into the loose space between the joist and floor. They just broke apart. Now I'm sure these would be great for other applications so I'm saving them for a different project. They are more expensive then wood but I think they are better. They snap apart easy and the length can be adjusted by breaking at one of the perforated lines. Good product but make sure it's what you need.
