it looks like it will work fine. It fit the gas can. don't know if it will leak gas onto my hand after filling the generator but I'm hopeful

this is a nice spout for my container. my old one had some super complicated nonsense that broke fairly quickly. This one works nicely.

I used these on several 5 gallon gas cans that I use to refill small engine gas tanks. They help the gas to flow much more freely. It is an acquired skill to not overfill the tank. when they are working properly, they save a ton of time. I do have a couple cans that neither the black or yellow screw on adaptor fits very well. They end up being loose which is not good when you're trying to pour gas out of a somewhat heavy full can. Also the small circular gasket that goes around the base of the spout wears out faster than I thought it should. Make sure you use a drill bit that is smaller so you have to force the vent cap into place because that also ended up leaking. I used some JB Weld and that has solved that issue for now. These are a great concept, they just require some extra TLC while using them.

Excellent product, solved my problem perfectly. Needed an extra length spout for my old Blitz 5 gallon gas can so I could insert it in the boat tank receptacle before pouring vs. the old, short spout that required a Hail Mary air pour on the way to the receptacle, often resulting in some (or much) spillage. Even better, the new EZ-Pour has a larger diameter that increases the flow rate dramatically, cutting the time it takes to pour 5 gallons from minutes to like 30 seconds, gotta love it!

I have 4 five-gallon gas cans (all of them the "new" style) that I leave in the garage for our portable generator, snow thrower, and other various gas yard equipment. I bought one of these kits to make sure it would fit and work first before I ordered any more of them. Worked like a charm and just ordered one more kit. On two of the cans, this product worked great. So far very happy to have my cans back to the way they were before the gov't got involved and messed it all up. Of course, since they are the "new" style cans, I had to create a new vent hole on the opposite end. I used a 1/2" wood paddle bit (a.k.a. flat wood or spade bit, which is mentioned by name on the manufacturer's FAQ page on their website) and was able to install the little included push-in vent without a hitch. After reading some other reviews that said not to drill the hole directly on the center seam of the can, I followed that advice and drilled just slightly off to the side. I still have a few inches of gas inside the can and I know there's a chance that a little bit of plastic debris may have made it's way inside during drilling (a lot of it fell outside the can though) but I'm just going to tempt fate that the screening will catch it all until it's empty and then I will rinse and clean it out thoroughly and let it dry for about a week or so before filling it back up again. As for the other two gas cans, the kit would not fit them, and after looking at the manufacturer's compatibility info on their web page, I don't think there are any workarounds to it. The 2.25" inch mouth on the can appears to be too big for any of the manufacturer's kits or adapters to fit the mouth of the can. This is the can that it would not fit: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000W9JN4S I bought it back in 2011. That is why I only ordered one kit at first to check compatibility first instead of any multi-packs. Turned out to be the right move instead of having to deal with returns now. Make sure that you check that the spout is a correct fit for your can prior to drilling any holes. Overall very happy with the purchase and would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to go back to the way it was when gas cans were simple and easy before the gov't got involved.

Replacement of garbage CARB spouts all gas cans come with. These just work, don't leak, and don't spill. Way more Eco friendly than the rash California is forcing us to use.

This thing works great, empties a five gallon can in well less than a minute. No leaks, no gas on me or my car and no wasted time. This was my second purchase of this item and I'm extremely happy with both of them. I bought this because I was so tired of dealing with the "Safety" device on my gas can. The "Safety" features are there because the EPA thinks it's better for the environment, but when the safety feature is what's causing me to get gas all over myself, the outside of my car and the ground, then I think they're kind of defeating the purpose. If you're going to install the vent, be sure to use a "Spade/Paddle" wood bit, a regular bit WILL NOT make a round hole in plastic. Also there is a tag on the spout when you get it that says "This will not fit an unleaded gas tank opening". well it does fit on my 2015 Corolla. That year doesn't have the spring loaded flap over the hole. If your car has the flap you'll want to consider a different spout. The tip will need to be smaller to go in the hole and open the flap, EZ-Pour makes both types.I saw another review stating that this item was "Way Overpriced", and that you could "Make" five of these for the price, First of all you could barely buy all the parts to make five of these for the this price, and who wants to go through the hassle of cutting, gluing and fitting a bunch of stuff together when it;s right here in front of you. Now I want to save money as much as the next guy, and yes I do think this is a tiny bit overpriced, but I'm not going through all that over a couple of bucks.
