We have several rental properties all with old clawfoot tubs. These are the perfect replacement taps for them with the shower diverter.

Good and solid enough. I've found that once the diverter washer wears out replacements are not available. But at this price that's not too much of a worry.

Easy, quick install. I'm not a plumber. Plumbers tape and a wrench (I used an adjustable crescent) are needed. Depending on shower head a adapter might be needed. I knew the size of the shower connection but wasn't sure on the faucet, so I took it with me to the hardware. Note: the faucet is all metal except for the water diverter. I recommend, for longer life, not forcing it when the shower is engaged, turn off the water. Rarely the diverter doesn't completely engage, again don't force it, turn off the water and start over.

it leaks from the spout when the shower is engaged. it also leaks from the hole where the shower riser goes, i tighten as much as i can, the gromet might be worn. it came with nothing to prevent leaks in a janky crippled plain white box wrapped in a cloth sack nothing else...no indicator of the ez flo company. not happy with it at all, i would return it but thats way too much of a hassle.update, 9 months later, it has completely fallen apart, the hot water handle no longer shuts off all the way, when i turn the two water lines from the back that go into the faucet off, it still drips, about 42 drips in roughly 10 seconds. didnt really motice it until my water bill shot up 27 dollars, they check and at night they said there was a water leak at night, according to the meter, water smhich is the tub. sure enough faucet washer is shredded and washer is cracked. POS dont buy it!!!!!

I got this to replace a leaking stem on an older identical faucet - to replace the stems alone would have cost 3/4 the price of a new unit, so I replaced the whole thing. The installation was a breeze, all in it took about 20 minutes and just needed an adjustable wrench and teflon tape. The flow control on this unit is not very fine, you need to crank open the valves - just getting a trickle at the right temperature takes some work. The price on this is great though, so it's not a big deal. It does seem wasteful to treat the whole faucet as a consumable unit, but the weird stems it uses force you to go through an obscure repair part house and it's just not worth it to repair.
It was in pretty good condition.

This is a fantastic direct replacement for an OEM claw tub faucet. It is a perfect fit and installation is very easy. Everything fits tightly, there are no leaks and it operates very well. Excellent value!

Have worked with many cast iron bathtubs in my life & the “replacement” valves we would get from our local plumbing suppliers were not this. They were cheap , I mean crap, aluminum and not heavy. “Corners-cut” all the way and they didn’t last as they basically corroded away. This new Amazon valve is heavy in your hand and appears well built. It’s pretty to look at. It’s going on a rental house Claw Foot tub that from 1956, so I’ll get to watch how well it operates over years and years.

The faucets themselves work perfectly, nice and solid fit on the tub…But what is the adapter size for the 3/8 inch riser connection? For the life of me I can’t find anything that seems to fit.I’m looking to connect directly to a shower hose (1/2 inch).
