Does exactly as intended - stops or releases tub water with step or push on Open or Close. The only replacement that fits older tubs with single stem and 3/8” bolt end. Plastic silver top about half the thickness of original but what isn’t made less sturdy these days. Pleased with quick delivery and easy install.

This is a 2” shaft x 3/8” thread. You can’t find this size in most hardware stores any more. It’s the only size that works in my 40 year old bathtubs! Thank you for stocking this!(FYI, the usual options are 1.5” x 3/8 or 2” x 5/16.)

Just watch your thread size. There are two common sizes. This is the smaller of the two.

Our tub has a Rapid Fit stopper like this. Last night my son cut the side of his foot on this, and we were up till 3 AM at the hospital. The wound needed 4 stitches to close. My other son said, oh yeah, I cut my foot on ita few weeks ago too. If you get this or have this, do what I did: file off the sharp edge around the chrome plastic top.

The toe stopper on our 1980s-era tub broke, so I got this one as a replacement, *hoping* it would fit. It did! (I first ordered the 5/16" replacement which didn't, but that was just my own measurement error at fault there.) It does stick up more than the old one and feels more flimsy -- the top is plastic, I think, instead of metal -- but for $8 including shipping, what can you expect? I was afraid I wouldn't be able to find anything that worked since the company who made the original stopper is long out of business, so I'm just glad to have some stopper that does the job.

This is the best stopper for our bathtub... It was no longer available at the local places and I was going to have to find a poor substitute. Then I looked on Amazon, and there it was. I could not help ordering some for us and for the other people living on our court.
