Works as advertised. Just be careful when screwing helicoil in. Tab likes to break.

The drill bit did its job, but the tap broke near the tip with one rotation inside the drilled hole. Cheap quality made in China. Best to invest in another kit so you don’t have to nut weld extract a broken piece inside a hole.

I ordered a 6-32 thread insert kit. It came with a drill and tap for 6-32, unfortunately the thread inserts were for 8-32 . So the kit was worthless.I contacted the manufacture to let them know of their quality control issue, but they never Responded to my email.

Tried to fix a stripped out screw hole, followed directions, got it installed per instructions, inserted the correct size screw and the helicoil broke almost immediately. Tried again, same result. Just simply a waste of $30.

Went through 5 coils before giving up. As soon as coil started to stretch, the removable link at bottom of coil would break off.

Economical solution for a seldom needed or used solution, but can be indispensable in the repair of a one of a kind item.

Very easy to use. I was a bit apprehensive as this was not sure I had attempted before and I needed to repair a stripped out hole on an expensive gun. I did some research, bought this and some cutting oil and went to work. Using a drill press the entire process took about 10 minutes, including carefully triple checking alignment, etc. The hole was quickly drilled out, the threads cut easily, and the heli-coil screwed right in. As long as you are careful you could do it with a hand drill as well Very easy!
