Excelent product. I use them in an extremely high temperature environment, 6 days a week, 8 to12 hrs a day and have never had one strip out or fail. They are fairly easy to install and an excellent value for you money. Have and will continue to recommend this product to others.

My CGEMII telescope mount is fairly new and it was getting hard to adjust on azimuth. Saw that one threaded side was stripping. I drilled out a whole and square as possible. My drill press would not have helped because there was no easy way to sqaure up the mount. After I drilled out the hole I tapped into spec and thebinser went in really easy. I just used a big screwdriver. In fact it went in too easy. I checked the spec on try tap and it was right. Oh , well, I added red locktight because it was so loose, I let it cure and the mount is working perfectly. I tested it under load and it worked so well I did the other side.My mount works better than ever. Just had to use red locktight and let it cure for 24 hours.

The only thing I noticed is they don't lock as tight as the description suggest. I used them on a 2002 f250 6.8l exhaust stud holes that someone used cheap helicoil to repair. I will definitely use these again when needed.

The dealership screw up my oil pan a few years back. They did fix the problem with Heli-Coil of wire threaded inserts but because the oil they never lasted. So I decide to do the right repair. The pictures are saying everything.

This was the answer to my problem. Had a bolt break off in the crankcase on a quad. I wasn't able to get an easy out to work after drilling it and attempting unsuccessfully to back out the remaining threads. I started researching solutions and found these little beauties! I would highly recommend these.

I used this to repair a cross-threaded bolt used as a pivot point spindle for the turntable on a 12 inch Hitachi C12RSH double bevel compound sliding miter saw. The Hitachi is a large, heavy (almost 64 pounds) saw and a replacement base would have cost in the neighborhood of $200-$250. The suggested drill size was rather odd but I found that a 13/32 " drill was so close that it worked perfectly. So far this has repaired the problem.

Was a little leery about using this for a rocker arm bolt but worked like a charm. Someone had used a heli coil and it failed. Took me a few tries to drill the right depth but was able to tap and place the e-z lok into the hole. So far it has held up for 1000 miles with no issues. I would recommend buying the 5 pack as I used one repeatedly to get the right depth and the lock tight was gone by the time i got it.

I bought a used transmission from the junk yard that had a couple pan bolts stripped so I needed to repair them because transmission fluid was leaking out. I started of buying a cheap helicoil repair kit on ebay and tried using that first. if you are considering buying an ebay kit yourself do yourself a favor and DON'T! what started as a simple repair turned into a nightmare when the very tool that is supposed to fix threads destroyed them even more. boy was I in a pickle because now not only were the threads screwed up but now the hole was also bigger than it should. I was running out of options!luckily in my search for solutions I came a crossed these clever and yet simple inserts. These inserts are quality and don't need any of the expensive specialty tools that other common thread repairs do. I was able to fix the destroyed threads quickly and easily with just these inserts, a screwdriver, a common drill and bits, and regular tap set. they work great! no more stripped threads and no more transmission leak! what a relief! I definitely recommend them especially if you've already tried other thread repairs that didn't work and you think it might be beyond repair.

I purchased these for an installation into an aluminum item that had oversized holes that needed to be threaded a smaller size. The inserts worked perfectly and are strong, but I recommend cleaning off the stock red thread lock on it and use fresh Loctite thread lock instead. The preinstalled thread lock doesn't bond tight and will allow the insert to unscrew when taken apart.
