My daughter was so excited to get this. She started working on it immediately after opening on Christmas. It's a neat concept, and a really nice art project for any crafty kids. My big problem is that she didn't even get the front side of the first page painted and she ran out of one of the shades of blue paint, and is about to reach the bottom of the darker blue as well. She has 5 more sheets to paint front and back, not to mention the sea creature parts. It doesn't look like we will have enough paint to get this all painted and I'm going to have to go out and buy more watercolor to finish the book. I'm sad because I really love this craft overall, but they need to include more watercolor!

I'm totally obsessed with this super cool Make Your Own Book kit! It's called the 3D Tunnel Book and it's all about letting your creativity run wild. You get to design and build your very own 3D book with movable animals that you can pose and play with. How fun is that?!With this kit, you can design the front and back of 14 tunnel pages and put together 12 animals to fill your book with. It comes with everything you need, from pre-cut pages to art supplies. Seriously, just open the box and get crafting – no need to run out for extra stuff!The pages of the 3D Tunnel Book are nice and thick, and the art supplies are safe and washable. Plus, you can keep everything organized in the reusable box. It's a great way to have some hands-on fun without staring at a screen all day. So get ready to dive into hours of creativity and entertainment with this awesome kit!

The EyeConnect Crafts DIY 3D Tunnel Book - SPACE is an absolute gem for creative minds of all ages! I was thoroughly impressed with how engaging and easy it was to work with. The included watercolor set, featuring 16 vibrant and vivid colors, is smooth and effortless to use. The colors really pop, adding a brilliant touch to the 3D layers of the tunnel book.This kit provides everything you need to spark hours (or weeks!) of creativity. It's a fantastic project not just for individual use, but also for group settings. In fact, I can see this keeping an entire classroom of students busy and excited for weeks as they explore their artistic sides while learning about space. This kit should be a fun way to introduce someone to the art of creating a Tunnel Book - but it misses the mark in so many ways.1) This kit includes a solid piece of cardstock for the front and back cover. The entire idea of a tunnel book is that you're seeing a 3D effect. A solid piece of cardstock prevents the exact idea that you're trying to create. Additionally, this is not shown on the box front which is the only reference one has to colored illustrations for this kit.2) When creating a tunnel book, the largest opening is the first page and continues consecutively to smallest opening on final page. No where does this kit explain that or number the pages so that one would know that.3) Other than the box, there is no reference for how to paint or decorate the animals - and the box only shows portions of some of the animals.4) The directions do include a link for 'how to' videos, but I could not find anything of much help there. Yes, it directs you on how to use brads to assemble two pieces of cardstock together - but it does not provide any sort of overview or flip thru of a finished book.5) The 'mini brads' are very, very mini. Be aware of this if there are small children or pets around or you're thinking of gifting this to someone with dexterity issues.6) This kit costs almost $40 ($39.99 as of 1/31/24) and you're receiving a child's type paint set, a few pieces of cardstock - some pre-punched for the animals, 3 markers, super mini brads and 3 silver rings.If you've never created a tunnel book, this kit will not help you to understand the concept. If you have created a tunnel book, you can do this quicker and less expensively on your own.

The book came with everything needed to assemble and color the book - including ring binders, a paint set, 3 markers, pre-cut pages, tape, instructions, and assembly tacks.You are guided to paint the main pages first. While these dry, you paint the animal character pieces. I am taking off one star for the process used to paint the main pages. They are pretty large size (normal paper size), but the kit includes a small paintbrush - and you need a lot of water/moisture to paint the page. The first page took a long time to do, and started losing interest with the small brush. Then, the paper deformed while drying.The individual "pond characters" are well cut, including pre cut holes for the tacks. We decided to use our own markers (vs the included paint). The characters colored with marker turned out well.We still have a few more characters to do, and then need to paint the main pages. I may just spray paint the pages blue and then add to the blue base.Outside of the one concern mentioned, it has been a fun and unique experience. We still are not done, which is another positive point. This is not a 1 hour craft - it will take some time to fully complete.

My granddaughter was showing this to me on Tic Tok and thought it was so cool. She loves art and creating and this present did not disappoint!!! It comes with everything you need to be as creative as you want AND directions for those that may need a little help (like me!).This is a project that is not a quick paint and you’re done - this will keep your young ones occupied for a few days worth of no screen time! The finished product is so cool and then writing your own story just adds to the fun!
