It does not clean the stain at the corner of the eyes as advertised.

This is a great product, I have a white Persian cat and his eyes get very runny. If I don’t clean them right away under the eye gets all yellow and dark. This is very gentle and cleans them well.

Me lo recomendó el criador de mi gatita y fue excelente opción. Limpia Perfecto La Mancha y no le lastima! Los pads no son tan útiles como el líquido y el polvo blanqueador.Satisfecho con la compra

My white cat who never had any sort of eye stain issues started getting awful runny eyes after we moved 2 years ago to a place with hard wood floors... more dust I guess? After many trips to the vet, we had tried EVERYTHING. Viral treatment, Bacterial ointment, lysine (in chews, powder, and a paste!), cleaning my house top to bottom, probiotic powder, etc. his one eye was still just always runny and stained so I was having to wash his face at least 2x a day to keep it looking semi-normal. Tears were crusting on and it was so hard to even remove them at a point because the area would need a warm compress to soften everything. Even after that cleaning the area was discolored and the skin was really red from the cleaning or maybe non stop moisture on the area.4 weeks ago I decided to try this kit PLUS add tear stain chews to his diet and the transformation has been AMAZING. First I was cleaning and treating im 2x a day, maybe 3! After a week I was cleaning his face 2x a day, now I am down to just once a day and the red patch of skin is starting to get smaller!!I found being very gentle with the cleaning and allowing the liquid to sit there has helped. I bought a small makeup brush...an eyebrow brush, nice and firm for applying the powder since you really want to get it against the skin down there.I wish you got more liquid for your money in this kit, it feels like a small amount vs the powder which will last me prob quite some time, but I guess buying more by itself will not be a huge deal since it works. So yeah, I tried literally everything to try and fix my cats eye, and this (what I thought was just cosmetic) kit plus tear chews have fixed his issue maybe 90% in a few weeks. Stick with it!

I recently got two Persian kittens, black Male, white female and the breeder gave me a sample kit of what she uses. I also had some store bought tear stain remover from when I got my Himalayan but none of those holds a chance to this product. My white female had her eyes so crusted, so dark that I was embarrassed to show her to friends and family and to take pictures of her. Ice had himalayans in the past but never had eye issues like my persians. Read a lot of reviews, watched a lot of YouTube videos and everyone who used the eye envy product talked highly of it. I went from having to clean their eyes 2-3x A DAY with effort invested, to now once a day sometimes every other day. This products removes the crust and yellowing quickly and gently. I am a true believer and have jumped on the Eye Envy band wagon. It comes with a lot more product then I expected.Products I've used and have not been successful- 21st century tear stain remover from petsmart-worked for my Himalayan who had light tears during teething but cannot break thru the soil my Persian gathered over time. Plus it has a potent, displeasing perfume smell. The cats hated it!Anna CB's designer pet line- face shampoo, face wash, grooming powder. This I got from the breeder but can also be bought online. Didnt have a perfume smell which was nice. I believed this would be my holy grail considering she breeds persians and Himalayans but it did not impress at all!Warm water and cotton ball- I found this to be the best until I received eye envy. Had no smell, with warm water it removed crust quickly but did little to remove the yellowing from the fur.Eye envy- crust flakes off after a couple swipes of solution on the pad. It cleans off the coloring (you can see it on the cotton pad). The powder can be applied while the area is still damp which is nice. Eyes stay clean way longer! I use once a day to once every 2 days! Such a relief once I got this product and saw for my eyes that it works!

The powder part of this kit works very well. White Persian cats get dark eye stains, and the powder reduces the staining. It isn't just cosmetic. The powder is white, but it isn't merely masking the stain - somehow it actually helps to reduce the production of stain. My cat hated the liquid eye cleaner and would run from the room when I opened the bottle (she could smell it and so could I) so I stopped using the liquid. I use water to clean around her eyes and then I pat them dry. I use my little fingertip to dab the powder on either side of her nose. The powder really helps!

I thought this 'no refrigeration' Eye Envy would be okay to use on my cat, a persian whose eyes get sticky stuff pretty regularly. Unfortunately this stuff had no effect on her poor little eyes- the lower lids stayed red, the discharge became red and thick and sticky, and had a 'yeasty' smell. I have since gone back to using the Eye Envy that has to be kept in the 'fridge, purchased directly from Eye Envy. After 3 uses of the Original Eye Envy her eyes are perfectly beautiful, and I can keep them that way. My advice: Stick to the stuff that really works. My cat had to suffer until I realized what was going on and went back to using Original Eye Envy. Your cat or dog doesn't have to, because you have my word that the product I'm reviewing-'Eye Envy no refrigeration required', does not work. At all. Don't waste your money. Get the original formula.UPDATE 12/7/2012: After returning to the original, 'refrigerate' formula for cats, Mimi's beautiful eyes have had ZERO red gunk, no painful squinting, no itching. If you've never used Eye Envy before, go to eyeenvy.com to order. If you use the kind I've reviewed here, you'll never know what a great product Eye Envy really is.
