These are nice, heavy duty eye bolts. We used these to attach a large shade sail to 4"x6" wooden posts and they are holding perfectly so far. We left the shade sail up in some heavy wind/rain storms, to include a tropical storm and everything is still intact! I think the bolts are nice, and they are an ideal price. Would definitely purchase again.

I have used these for my hammock posts outside and they are working quite well. I drilled a pilot hole a little smaller to help make it easier to screw them in. Once in they hold my weight well and are not bending. I highly recommend this product.

These are fine. They are just what I was expecting. Drill a pilot hole and they go in without a problem into wood. I put one in a pole near the lake. It is working fine.

The finish on these screw in eye bolts is just so-so. Granted they are just eye bolts, supposedly being new and looking like they do, kinda gives an idea of what the quality is about. These eye bolts are scratched up with the black paint scraped off. The threads on the eye bolts don't look as deep as they should be for an eye bolt of this size. Having said that, I would be hesitant to put a lot of weight on these eye bolts. "A lot of weight" is only for the user of this product to judge in terms of just how much weight that might be.

We put up a 1.25" rope railing on our new deck. There was lots of discussion about how best to secure the rope to the posts before we decided to use eye bolts. I ordered this particular product because the interior dimensions of the eye were large enough to use with the substantial rope that we wanted. We did pre-drill the holes, and we had to use a tool to turn the bolts all the way in, but once installed, adding the rope was a quick job.

These are good stiff steel screw eyes that I expect can handle reasonably heavy loads without issues. Per my bolt gauge they are made from a steel wire a hair under 3/8" (but larger than 5/16"), making them fairly heavy duty. The stiff steel means that under reasonable loads the eye should not start to open up. However, an ideal design would not be the bent wire design of these but rather a fully closed eye so the eye being bent open is not possible.Still, these are great heavy duty screws that can be trusted for the intended purposes, such things as hanging a porch swing. Even 500 lbs on a porch swing I don't think would cause problems for these screw eyes, provided they are installed with the threads biting into a wood substrate properly. Good quality expansion anchor sleeves are provided for masonry installations, which is a nice extra.The black finish is pretty good. It seems very durable. There are minor flaws in how the finish was applied so potentially a few little spots that corrosion could make an inroad. Hard to say whether it's a minor issue with one batch or whether quality control in the finishing step is generally slightly lax. A minor thing, but noted for accuracy.Overall a very solid product for affixing things to wood or masonry surfaces. It's fair to call these very durable and heavy duty. At a reasonable current unit cost of $2 I rate these five stars.

As described, heavy duty large eye bolts in various lengths. I ordered the 4 inch short eye bolts for a home project. They are machined well, have clean threads and painted black. Pre-drill holes before using for best results.

These are strong hooks and perfect for hanging plants or rope. I just screw them into the wood by hand but there must be a simpler way to install these that I don't know about.
