Pretty simple to install if you're following the video guide. Hardest part of the install is transferring the touchpad, but as long as you're patient with the heat gun/hair dryer it will eventually come off. Looks very sleek and the fit is just like a normal controller. Use this to make my regular white controller turn into the black one.

Love this. Good quality material and nice feel. Colour matches the listing photo. Followed the video instructions from the link provided with the instruction booklet. Took a while but that’s expected as I did a shell swap on my Nintendo Switch as well a few years ago. Definitely going to be buying the matching matcha bottom piece as well.

eXtremeRate always has great quality shells. Feel a lil softer and smoother than the original shell however there are some small edges from printing that can be felt; such as the end where the two sides meet. The color is still great and installation wasn't too much of a pain.Note, the touchpad installation was more tedious than expected. There are little clear pieces that the touchpad require that come in detached and separate. I nearly broke the included back housing of it trying to insert them. The new touchpad is NOT compatible with the original stock backing the board is on so you will need to swap it. Would perfer if that wasnt the case.All around great and would recommend!!!

Good all round. Only tricky part it heating the touchpad off. Make sure you have a hair dryer of heat gun for this step.

Excellent shell overall. Instructions were simple and easy to navigate. Only downside was there was no option to get both front and back shells. When combined with the back shell, you can tell that they are off by a hue or two. I still would recommend if you are looking to make your controller look unique.

I had upgraded the joycons and Switch housing on my Nintendo Switch, but didn't write a review. Why? Installation was tedious and I ran out of patience after completion. I pulled a youtube video up and walked along with it to deconstruct, and swap out the parts. I have the tools and the dexterity but you are working with small parts.OF NOTE: Depending on the model of controller (There are 3 variations in the PS5 controller) Your touchpad bracket may or may not have two screws anchoring it. Mine had one screw only and I didn't need to worry about the controller speaker.That being said, I am SO happy with the Shell, I may replace the buttons at some point. ALSO NOTE: when I did put the shell on and secured everything, my buttons felt "Dry" or "Gritty" and would squeak (D-Pad mostly) The solution is a little bit of mechanical keyboard switch lube on a small paintbrush, between the housing and actual buttons. Nothing the manufacturer could have done, but this was my experience.I gave it a three star for ease of installation because there were no instructions, and it takes time and patience, but again, it looks phenominal.

Weird having to buy the back shell and front shell separate. The black shell to match some dark plates for the PS5 overall looks and feel great great solution to getting a clean black and grey finish to console setup.
