When my old Oster toaster died, I ordered this one. My kitchen color scheme has red so, it matches perfectly. It will toast bagels as well as bread and even accommodates frozen items! It's easy to dial up or down on temperature. The cord us short; but it's on the counter and isn't in the way.I love the Oster appliances. It's a great buy!

This is a small, sleek, no gadgets toaster, which makes very good toast at a very reasonable price. I used to have the big Toastmaster, but I have radically downsized. This is a simple two slice toaster that will also handle bagels. I like the design and its simplicity.

I love the color and style of this toaster. It looks so pretty sitting on my counter. Also, my previous toaster was old and many things like bagels and frozen sandwiches designed to be made in a toaster would not fit. Everything fits in this toaster! And the "Cancel" button makes it easy to check on the food, too.

I love it!!!I'm impressed with its performance! It toasts evenly on both sides, which is something I've had trouble with in other brands. The sleek design looks great on my countertop, and the multiple settings allow me to get my toast just right, whether I want a light golden color or a deep, crispy brown. It's also easy to clean, with a removable crumb tray that slides out smoothly. The seller was very responsive and shipped the item very quickly. Overall, a solid toaster that offers great value for the price!

Una buena tostadora. Me ha gustado el diseño y las opciones de cancelar y los otros. Solo hay que aprenderle a los niveles ya que con el nivel 3 lo quema de un lado. El tostado no es parejo pero ajustadolo bien es perfecto.

Toasts but with caveats. The best thing about this toaster is its nice looks and that it has a small counter footprint. But the toast level is inconsistent and size means narrow slots. I've had toast barely brown on setting 4 and then get too brown on setting 3. The bagel function doesn't seem to work, as it still deeply browns both sides of the bagel slices, often leaving burn marks on the top of the bagel where it sits too close to the heating element. The slot size seems to be made for bread slices on the smaller side. Generic white bread fits just fine whereas more substantial slices, such as with Oroweat bread, will not fit. So I have been having to toast one edge at a time and then rotate and toast again. When using it more than once within a few minutes, I really have to watch it to ensure the toast doesn't burn, even after turning toast setting down to 1 or 2. Also, outside of toaster feels extra warm after toasting bread. So I let it cool before moving it around. I do really like the look of it though. Wish the bagel function and toast settings worked properly.

This review is for - Oster 2-Slice Toaster with Advanced Toast Technology, Stainless Steel===============================Update: Feb 2, 2025It's been 3 years & 3 months since my original review below. This toaster gets a lot of use, almost daily -and I'm happy to share that it still does a great job of toasting bread, and there have been no problems. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again and if you need a bread toaster, I still recommend it.===============================Original Review, November 7, 2021AppearanceVery nice looking appliance that reminds me of the metal toasters from the 1960's. But it does like to show fingerprints and smudges - even when I don't remember touching the darned thing. So I keep a microfiber cloth in a kitchen drawer to touch it up every now and then.FunctionsThis toaster is advertised as having 'Advanced Toast Technology' but I didn't see any explanation of that term in the documentation - although it may be in there somewhere. My guess is the marketers are referring to the three buttons that light up, located on either side of the toasting-darkness knob. The buttons are labeled Bagel, Frozen, and Cancel, but I also didn't see anything in the included documentation explaining exactly what to expect when using the Bagel and Frozen buttons.PerformanceAs with most toasters, there's a lever that must be pressed down to lower the bread into the toaster and turn the heating elements on. I found that the lever has to be 'very' firmly pressed down for the platform to lock into the toasting position. Only time will tell if this is normal, or whether it's an indication that something is amiss. As expected the Cancel button immediately raises the platform the bread sits on, and turns the heating coils off. At the end of one toasting cycle I had a bagel get stuck, such that it kept the platform from raising and the coils from turning off. Pressing the Cancel button did nothing because the bagel was holding the platform down, so I had to pull up on the lever. To manually raise the platform in this situation, enough force had to be applied that I thought it might break. But it didn't, and the toaster still works well. (Maybe I should have pressed the Cancel button while lifting the lever.)My tests of the Bagel and Frozen buttons did not show any advantages to using them. Using the same toasting darkness setting I initially set for unfrozen sandwich bread, all subsequent tests of button combinations for frozen and unfrozen bagels and sandwich bread returned the same results. The Frozen and Bagel settings 'may' lengthen the toasting cycle, but my tests did not show a meaningful difference. A sentence or two in the documentation explaining exactly what to expect from these buttons would have been helpful.Bread slices are toasted slightly darker on the sides closest to the inside of the toaster, but it's usually only noticeable if I'm looking for it.It Gets HotAfter one cycle of toasting 2 slices of bread, the top of the toaster gets very warm, but nowhere near warm enough to burn my skin. After running the toaster two cycles back-to-back, the top is warm enough to make me think twice about touching the toaster top. After 3+ cycles the top feels hot enough to provide a significant burn, if I were to leave my hand in contact. My take... so what? It's a toaster that works by running electricity through thin wires that get red-hot. So enjoy your toast and use common sense, especially if young children have access to it. And if you do touch the top of the toaster when it's hot, your automatic reflexes should force you to retract your hand before you get a skin burn - because you'll never actually touch the red-hot wires.Common Sense Tips:1. Do not use the toaster when it's sitting directly under a cabinet as the rising heat will eventually discolor the paint or finish. And of course there's always a fire danger if the cabinet is close enough. (In my small kitchen, the toaster has a permanent home under a cabinet and I pull it clear of the cabinet when in use.)2. Literally everyone should know this, but just in case somebody missed this lesson:Never, ever stick metal utensils of any kind inside the toaster when it's plugged in. If you do so, the utensil and your body could instantly become electrified. It doesn't feel good; Trust me. If bread becomes stuck inside, UNPLUG the toaster and fish the bread out with plastic or wood utensils if possible. While you're bread-fishing, avoid touching the thin wires as they break easily and that will turn your bread toaster into a bread holder.Bottom Line:I really like this toaster and recommend it!It's a nice looking, competitively priced toaster that does a good job at toasting bread and bagels (without using the advanced function buttons) , while the claim of Advanced Toast Technology seems to be overblown and undocumented.
