This replacement handle looks to be nearly identical to the one I removed. (not sure if the old handle was a factory part). The quality of the replacement handle appears to be at least equal to the prior handle and the fit was perfect with one exception. The gasket on the replacement handle is inferior to the old one.The gasket is made of a harder material and is not well affixed to the handle. It tends to dislodge during the installation and that is unacceptable. So, you have three solutions: simply use the old gasket (probably the best solution if the old gasket is intact), Glue the gasket to the handle prior to the installation (this will require some pre-planning and time for the glue to dry). Or fiddle with the hard plastic gasket until you get it correctly positioned (the method I used).Other than the gasket, the handle is a good fit, it works well, looks fine and is a low-cost solution to a broken door handle.The key cylinder from the old handle is transferred to the new handle. Take a minute to lubricate the metal parts of the lock cylinder before transferring it. You don’t need to drown it in oil but blow it off with an air gun and add a drop or two of oil before swapping it in.

The product appears to be as similar to Toyota manufacturer. The installation took about 40 minutes, and it was easy.I will give a total of 5 stars.

My son replaced my broken tailgate handle with this one. Easy to install and works good. He was concerned that some parts looked cheap/flimsy versus the part that looked orginal. We will see if it holds up long term.

The materials and finish for this product seem good(time will tell)It was tricky to install though, the new nylon retainer for the door latch release rod was a loose fit at the rod tip so the rod tip did not lock into position and retain it in the same way as the original so was hard to keep in place even with the the rod retainer strap in place and get the handle back in the install position, the rod tip did not lock into the retainer in the same way as the original and would disconnect when trying to maneuver the handle to the install position .Luckily, even though the original retainer was a little mangled from efforts to disconnect the rod, I was able replace the supplied retainer with the original which did lock the rod into position and was then able get the handle back in position to re install without the rod disconnecting.
