I have a couple gun pouch but this one is a little bigger. And yes, you can fit an iPad in it. It's wide enough to fit a full size 1911. I like that it's longer because I can fit about 5 extra magazines inside. My other ones which are shorter can only take 3 extra mags and it would be a tight fit. Also it is padded and can be opened all the way to be used as a range mat. Fits perfectly in my range bag. I ordered two (different colors) and I might order a couple more. Highly recommended!

After buying an , I picked up additional pouches so I could take several pistols to the range. I got a pair of these, and they work well. They're a little different than the ones that came with the bag, but not enough to cause issues.Speaking of size, the full dimensions aren't listed in the item description as of this writing, so here they are for the two pouches I received (empty):Outside: 12" x 9" x 1.75"Inside: 11" x 8.5" x 1"Having zippers on three sides is nice for laying the whole thing open as a platform for pistols and accessories. The zippers themselves are oversized, and I've yet to experience any snagging. There are two, so you can introduce an admittedly minor form of security by using a small lock. The exterior nylon is sturdy, and the edges have an overlapped layer to keep them from wearing. Based on my first few trips, I don't have any worries moving these around on even worn wood range platform tops.As indicated by the measurements above, there is ~0.4" of padding on each side of the pouch. It is soft, pliable foam as opposed to hard/rigid stuff; you can easily fold the empty pouch in half. The interior is the same kind of felt you'll find in most products made for firearms: soft, but with no pilling or loose threads.Assuming the size works for your purposes, you really can't do much better when it comes to a basic gun pouch, especially for the price (less than $10 to your door in two days with Prime).

Solid pouch. Fits perfectly in my Explorere Rangemaster Gear Bag. My range bag only came with two pouches but when I want to go to the range and take all four of my handguns, I need four pouches. These pouches work great either in or out of the bag. They fit in it so that I'm able to transport four handguns or they work outside the bag if I just want to use it to store a handgun in my footlocker. They have sturdy double-sided zippers and strong seams sewn onto them. They have just enough padding to provide protection without being overly bulky. 5 stars!

The only reason I'm giving 4 stars vs. 5 is the color option. Picture shows the rug as black, which is what I wanted. However, when the three I ordered arrived I was surprised to find they were light green camo instead. I alerted Amazon about this disparity. Other than that, the rugs are well made with adequate padding and heavy zippers. They'll provide plenty of protection for my handguns for range practice. I will buy more, but only if they are available in black as well.

This is a good pouch. Nice and thick and it can hold a large handgun securely. It has a strong zipper as well. I bought two and am very pleased with them.

I bought this to go in my 13 in mossy oak range bag. I wanted the pistol inside but on the side of the bag not on the bottom. It fits perfectly in it, and is able to be on the side. This pistol rug is big enough to fit a pistol with a 6 inch barrel with a scope on it with a little room to spare. Feels well made, and will protect whatever is in it.

Matches the field case nicely, larger than I expected but it works nicely for carrying my handguns safely. Excellent construction, I am fully confident that these cases will last for many years to come. If I needed more I would definitely purchase them again.
