We have an older, long legged rescue that has been with us since she was a pup. She started out with underdeveloped back legs, gained strength and became very active with daily runs and weekend hikes, and has since had surgery on one of those back legs in her old age. Now, she is struggling daily with dragging her paws and sometimes walking on her knuckles to the point that her nails will bleed from being ground down (we no longer clip the nails on those paws).I wasn't hopeful when searching for a dog boot or sock because the ones I've tried in the past would simply slip off. But, I decided to take a chance, and I'm glad that I did! These aren't perfect. We only use them on her back paws, because those are the only ones that need them. But I will say, that they are the best that we've found so far.Cons:1. They will sometimes twist. As long as she's on a walk by herself, it's easy to take the time to twist it back around to the correct position. But if all 3 dogs are on a walk with one person, it's a bit harder to do.2. There are no washing instructions. Since we don't have sidewalks where we live, she is walking on wet grass in the mornings and possibly getting urine on them. They are short boots (which is in general a pro for her), and are by no means waterproof. The waterproof factor isn't that big of deal to us. However, they do smell gross after a walk and it'd be nice to have washing instructions.Pros:1. This might be because they are only on her back paws, but she doesn't mind wearing them at all! She doesn't do that awkward high step like she did in the previous ones and doesn't try to take them off.2. The short length is perfect for mobility. It doesn't constrain her.3. The velcro secures them so that they do not come off.4. The traction is fantastic! No slip sliding around.5. They are proving to be as durable as a human shoe. As I said before, she drags those paws and sometimes will step on her knuckle. She seems to step on her knuckle less in these. I don't know how long they will last, but I imagine they will last about as long as a human shoe would last if I were to drag my toe on the ground everyday for my walk. It's nice that we have 2 pairs since we are only using them for her back legs. All in all, we are very pleased. Dog's paws aren't human feet. Is there a way to design a generic dog boot that won't have it occasionaly twist around? Haven't found one yet. I do wish that there were clear washing and drying instruction. Other than that, very good product that I would recommend.

Mein Hund hat eine Verletzung zugezogen, hat gehumpelt und diese Schuhe boten Schutz für das Pfötchen. Kurze Eingewöhnung und er konnte sogar problemlos joggen damit. Empfehlenswert.

Fast shipping, durable, and they actually stay on. Our dog had crack pads that weren't healing (he's an active, big boy), and these boots took a short while to get used to (they will get used to them, just not at minute 0), allowing his pads to heal in less than a week.

This is our first season with these boots and we got them to protect her feet from the chemicals and ice/snow. If you wouldn't go out there barefoot why should your pup? Her paws were slightly cold when the boots were removed but paws were dry! Success! Our baby girl is a 40lb Catahoula and we ordered the size 6 based on the reviews. Please note you will need to train your dog to wear these, it took a few weeks about 5mins each training session with treats to ensure putting them on and wearing them was a positive experience. She now understands that boots means treats and fun times! We appreciate that her paws stay protected and dry! Thank you for making these affordable and good quality!UPDATE: 1/5/18 (2nd Winter Season)These are the best dog boots I’ve had that have stayed on securely and have lasted! They have only fallen off once as I had not adjusted them as snugly as needed when we initially got them. Please do not expect your dog to welcome having these foreign things on their feet unless you are prepared to invest the time to make it a good experience. The boots are now a reward as I used treats to get them on and off initially. Now all I say is, it’s time to get your boots on/off, and she knows it’s a positive experience. They stay on well and protect her paws from the chemicals and winter weather. They’ve been a great buy and we are on our second season with them now!
