What is exhaust gas recirculation valve?
The EGR Valve is an emission control device.
It modulates the flow of exhaust gas into the intake manifold to reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions.
It's used to reduce fuel consumption,improve engine performance.
Note: Before installing this part, check the Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve passage in the intake manifold and clear any carbon blockage.
Failure to do so will result in repeat malfunction of the Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve system.

Complete junk. Threw codes from the start, unfortunately I couldn’t claim the warranty as I waited too long to mount it on the car. I ended up buying a replacement from Napa and that solved the codes I was getting. Don’t buy this online go to a parts dealer instead.

dodge caravan was acting up wasting more gas than normal and engine light can on changed this part and it has worked perfect and replacement was easy

I needed to replace my alternator on my 2005 Grand Caravan - f you know this vehicle you know that you have to remove the alternator to replace the EGR valve. I purchased the EGR valve above and although there was nothing wrong with the stock one we know they fail all the time - Needless to say my alternator works great (bought from car quest) with no more growling but now my check engine light is on for the EGR valve - I have cleared the code numerous times and without fail it comes back on - Workmanship these days is terrible - Will not buy from Amazon again - I saved 5 bucks cost me 38 - Sad truth - But it did fit and looks pretty good -
