This is a well-built tape dispenser, very sturdy. I'm using it for packing tape and it works great.

Having one of these is the equivalent of adding a year to your life, in terms of time saved. The only question is what to do with all those extra months.

Purchased for use with shipping boxes. Works much better than a tape gun, which seems to always get stuck or come off the spool and are a pain to refill. This is super easy to pop a new roll into and the suction cups really hold it to the surface and the tape easily advances and tears off pretty well. No more cursing like I used to with the tape gun. I like it so much that I just ordered another one for another room.

Handheld dispensers were easily misplaced. This stays in place and faithfully does it's job. Highly recommended!

Wish they had the replacement blades a little cheaper, they are $10.98 each and don't last very long at all. The glue gets all over the blade from the tape and I don't know how to clean it.Also looking for a 1 1/2" blade that I can't find but I have the dispenser, also blade ruined from the tape...It is a good dispenser, just think the blades should be made a bit more durable and better quality.

I am in love with this. In complaining, a thing I do occasionally, a friend mentioned an insanely overpriced device he had in a warehouse job, years ago. Cut forward to a few years after that conversation, many years since his experience, and I found myself in dire need of something to make dispensing packing tape onto envelopes, bubble mailers, wee pads that won't stay on the darn potty, and so on, a bit easier, a bit safer, a bit less maddening. I came to Amazon, my favorite store, which you already know if you read my reviews, and quickly came upon that device, which was still extremely overpriced. After a day of distraction, when i discovered the new DVDs of Endeavour, Father Brown and Doctor Blake Mysteries had been released in the UK, I came back to it and found this little beauty in the "Customers Also Viewed" section of the overpriced nightmare. This tape dispenser is PERFECT.Plainly put, this is a metal unit, solid and strong and built to last. It has enough pressure, inward, from each side, to hold the tape roll in place as you use it, but, not so much as to make it impossible to switch the rolls out. The tape roll cassette can be used as two, with two one inch rolls, or as one, with one two inch roll of tape, so long as they have a three inch center diameter. The tape dispenser has a bridge, to guide the tape as you pull it and keep it from falling back down onto itself. It has a nice sharp cutting edge, easy for tearing the tape off, but, unlike most units, they remembered to actually put a safety shield for sad of clumsy fools like me, those of us who cut ourselves, on everything, all the time, and really do need a nice plastic cover to flip up, over the blade, when the blade is not in use. And, somehow, on top of that, they actually built it with suction cups that hold it to the table where it lives. Ours is on a plastic sheet on a table, not a waxed or polyurethane coated wood surface. I recommend using a plastic cutting board for it if you have to use a nice wood table, but, most surfaces where you would find one of these will be just fine, like an MDF or particle board dresser with veneer or a plastic or metal work table or cabinet. The suction cups could be removed if you didn't want them, but, once you see how this works and how incredibly well it works with the suction engaged, very few of you will want to remove such a wonderful feature.I wish you luck in finding what you need and, if you need a tape dispenser, this company, Excell, makes an amazing product, in a variety of sizes, for different taping applications, most of which cost around twenty to thirty dollars, including tax. I just love this company and I adore the two inch table/desk top tape dispenser. How often does a little thing like this actually make life easier, rather than just cluttering up the garage? This saves me time and energy and little cuts on my hands. I just love it.
