By dipping the eXact strip into a photometer cell, the exact amount of reagent is released into the water causing a change in color or turbidity. The change is measured by an eXact photometer giving the user fast and accurate results. Each unit consists of a bulk bottle of 50 tests.

I did have a Hanna reader but with this device I can now test all aspects of the water in my own time. These tests allowed me to test copper and bring up to desired range even though water still looked good. Will be a lifesaver come next Australian summer.

Seems to me that every testing method I use gives me a different result. I have spent time chasing the readings but decided that the only way to go was find and trust a single system. I am using an Idip meter and these strips. I have a pool and spa that use no chlorine and the two reading I need to be accurate are pH and copper. Using this system and trusting the results Seems to be working and after a number of years the results are good water and positive control. This is following the instruction that came with my system. Now and again my pool guy, I do not allow them to do anything with the chemistry, will show me a test that differs from mine and I have to admit that the equipment used seems very good and he is a professional. But clear water and a lack of problems convinces me that I am on the right track.
