We got this to use on wood for raised beds. We applied it using a brush. It was interesting to see how different boards absorbed the liquid. We put two coats on just to be absolutely sure we got good coverage. I would definitely recommend ecowood!

We just had our landscape redone and had the contractor use this on our veggie beds. Everyone has commented on what a nice color they turn. We used this years ago on a chicken coop and that is still standing and looking good. This is an excellent, safe preservative.

I use Eco Wood on bird nesting boxes and bee hive boxes. It makes the pine wood look really nice, accents knots and grain. Over time will darken to a barn board look. Very easy to use. I pre cut and drill all my wood then soak it in eco wood for 15 to 20 seconds, in a plastic tub, and then let it dry. In the past I painted the bird boxes and it was expensive. I could do maybe 4 with a quart of paint, 2 or 3 coats....now I can do about 30 bird boxes with one package of eco wood. One dip only. I will never use anything else.

I used this to age new cedar to match older boards. It aged some very well, others look less aged.

Used it on my raised beds outside. They seem to be holding up well and the stain seems to be working to protect the wood. The stain is reported to be non-toxic to humans.

I love this product! I used Ecowood to stain my new 10’ x 25’ pressure treated wood deck last fall. I used white paint to tint it as directed. I sprayed it on with a garden sprayer. It could not have been easier to use, and looks gorgeous. I get compliments on it all the time and everyone (including the guys who built my deck) asks me what I used to get such nice results. After watching a few YouTube videos and talking to ecowood folks about the product I did the following: I used a paint mixer attached to my drill to thoroughly mix the powder with water in a bucket. I strained it as I poured it into the sprayer. I shook the sprayer often to keep it mixed evenly. I sprayed heavily because I wanted a heavier white tint. If you’re not tinting this may be unnecessary. I have thin turned spindles on my deck railing and ended up using a sponge and a brush to evenly coat these because spraying was inefficient. I sprayed all cut ends and the underside where I could for fuller wood protection. It took me a couple of days but since there’s no issues with foot prints, streaks, or uneven drying it was fine. Spray got all over my lawn and shrubs but they were unharmed. Initially the deck was slippery, but after regular use it’s now fine. Ecowood told me that the white tint would fade to the untinted silvery gray over time (a few years). The color has held up so far, but on the high traffic areas I can see more of the gray already. It’s still beautiful and I think the aging process will be fine aesthetically. IMHO you seriously can’t beat this for environmental friendliness, easy DIY, and great results.

This wood treatment is amazing. I used it to weather the look of some redwood square stock I used to trim out a custom barn door. I needed to darken up the wood to match some recycled fence boards that were pre-finished. I gave the redwood a run over with a wire wheel and then dry brushed with some satin sage green paint. Then I used a spray bottle to apply the product. The silvery patina gave me a nice blue gray which went great with the wood boards I had. Before this using this product I was considering the vinager and steel wool treatment, but this gave me the results I was looking for in 5 minutes! The color has held up for weeks and I'm sure it will last a long time indoors. I still have plenty left for the next project.
