Very easy to use, high quality and no stress at all it took me around 5 minutes to get the jog done, better than the expensive ones, don't waste your time or money as I say I used this to rebuild a c4 transmission. I was a little skeptical because some of the reviews but if you feel like it's hard to use is because you're doing it wrong. As always use protective equipment and be safe.

I will start by saying I didn't completely, entirely, use this as recommended. I tried to find ONE tool to compress the springs for my th350. This worked really well when used as intended. The only issue I had was that the arms which compress the spring would move a little while tightening down the nut. This shouldn't be a problem for two people, but I was by myself so I found this a little challenging. This is a side note and did not impact the review. Maybe someone will find this useful. I forgot to take pictures in the heat of the moment, but for the spring which did NOT have a hole in the middle to leverage, I took out the middle shaft and used wood clamps on both top sides of this to compress the spring. The whole time I was thinking back to when my automotive instructor lectured us about not being idiots with McPherson strut springs and using the tool the right way. So for those of you looking to save some money at the risk of hurting parts or injuring yourself, this may work for you!

I see some of the review call outs regarding the redesign, but this actually worked in my favor on the planetary gears/shaft.. I was able to remove the tool from the assembly and just use the bar with the arms attached on a press. With that said, this worked perfectly on normal pistons/spring compression when you were able to go through the center. So depending on the transmission, this should have a wide application. Just make sure to be extra safe when doing any spring compression like this, make sure you know what you're doing and follow safety rules. IE don't have your face over it while you're tightening and make sure you loosen it slow... This last part probably isn't as important as having your face over it, but you get the point. Always wear safety glasses too.I mean most like nothing will happen, but if it did... it's better to be safe than sorry if you're new to transmission rebuilds/overhauls.

Stellar price. Works exactly as expected. Don't get tricked into buying a brand name I can't mention (otherwise amazon won't approve my review) for about 3-4 times the price. From what I understand, the parts come from the same place. I used this to rebuild my 4L60e. I used 2 C-clamps to get the clutch out. When I tried to reinstall it with C-clamps, I broke the spring assembly. I had to order this and a new spring assembly. With this, I was able to do it correctly.
