Bought these to protect my skin. They are not heavy, hot or bulky. I bought the small.

I purchased these for my elderly father, who has fragile skin, especially on both his arms. Just bumping into something can cause his skin to tear and bleed, which is a weekly occurrence. These arm sleeves have provided added protection while also keeping his arms covered while allowing prior injuries to heal. They are not extremely tight as one might think, but snug enough to stay on without sliding down, rippling, or cutting off circulation. Lightweight, material is just a bit thicker than a dress sock, but thinner than a heavy sock. Great product if you need a little extra protection!

Anyone > 70 should wear these while doing work around the house or garden. Stops bruising on thin skin arms. Sure glad I discovered this.

These are what I feel would be excellent protection. But the L/XL size was too small to get on comfortably. They stopped a bit below the elbow, which is still OK for forearm protection. They would be 5 Star if they were large enough to be useable. (I don't have large forearms: 11.5" max circumference, so L/XL should fit easily). Had to return them. NOTE: If you are looking for TIGHT protectors, these may work well!

These are great for petite people. I use them for cutting brush and tree removal. I originally bought them for my father as he has thin skin and bruises easly but they were way to small and tight. They do work well though.

My husband is currently taking blood thinner meds, and has had far too many cuts and scrapes from a couple of our over zealous dogs who get rowdy in their morning greeting him (he refuses to correct their jumping up;(!! ). I have a pair of "cut free" gloves I use in the kitchen while cutting veggies and/or meat, so I did some research to find him a pair that would give a bit more of his arms protection from dog nails. Well, these do the job, beautifully! He puts them on in the mornings now, and when the dogs excitement at greeting him would normally cause cuts and scrapes, no more cuts and scrapes!!! The quality of the gloves is very good, they are breathable and comfortable for him to wear all day if necessary, and best of all they work as advertised! I highly recommend these as they can be used for a variety of needs.

I run a wave solder machine where I work making pc boards. One day, I accidentally bumped the metal part of one of the jigs fresh out of the machine with the inside of my arm, right above where the glove ends. Since the jigs had made a few trips through, that brief contact was enough to blister. Had to fill out paperwork, blech. It was not a serious burn, but I didn't want to do that again. The kevlar sleeves provided make my skin itch, (they probably just need to be washed...) so I wanted to try a cottony sleeve that would help protect me from another little slip, and probably wouldn't melt to my skin. This is NOT advertised as being for protection from burns, but it's thick enough cotton I feel confident it will be an admirable barrier against brief contact. I had to cut the tubular elastic out of it because I'm sensitive to pressure points, and they slip down a bit, but I have gloves on so they don't fall off. Low down on my arms is where I want them anyway. They have enough body and thickness to them they hold their shape and don't really roll up. I just wash and dry them with my socks and that. I've been quite happy with them for over a month now.*For reference if it helps* I'm a somewhat petite female with smaller arms (5'4" 110 lbs) I got the small/medium with NO thumb holes since I'd be wearing gloves with them. They fit snug on the upper part of my lower arm, looser around the wrist but aren't tight, especially since I cut out the elastic, lol.

nice product but the small is made for little kids. Im 5'2" and tiny arms and the small was too small for me. got the gray l/xl and they fit perfect.. I need these to protect my arms from my furry grandkids. their nails seem to tear my skin. and I use them to trim the rose bushes. 2 pairs in a package . I washed them on hand wash cycle and air dry. did not shrink ..
