Welded in very nicely to my intercooler pipe. I'm not the worlds best aluminum welder but I had no issues.

I welded these in to an aluminum transmission pan so I could use an aftermarket temperature sensor. Threads were good, they welded nice and no leaks. I've used several of these and wouldn't hesitate to order more for my next project.
