These work very well - I have a few windows that leak when the wind blows wrong - and they keep the sill dry without being a sopping wet mess. However, I tried to place them on the floor near our sliding doors, which have the same problem (we are coastal) and the black fleece fabric really attracts dust and pet hair. They ended up looking really nasty and I don't know how to get them clean. Can't wash them or they'll suck up the water, and vacuuming was less than effective. So to sum up: they WORK at what they are supposed to do - absorb water. But you can't leave them in place very long or they end up looking worse than a wet towel. :( Change the fabric and these would get 5 stars!

I use these between by patio door and the exterior sliding screen door. I get water in my basement if there's a heavy rain because of water draining from the weepers under the door. I needed something to help absorb water and prevent this from happening because the diagnosis and fix will cost a ridiculous amount of money. This product works great and gets the job done. The 2-pack is helpful to alternate with. The smaller/multiple cells of this design also helps to keep its shape better.

I purchase a two pack ahead of Hurricane Beryl as I expected some water to enter through my back door. Now, water entered a bit faster than I anticipated and pushed the snake away but, it did absorb plenty of water and I could have been worse off. Drying time says about 30 days but, I’ve had them hanging since Monday evening and we are about half way there. I would recommend.

So far this product is doing a great job. I recently moved South and the thunderstorms are terrible. They have kept rain and bugs from creeping under the door. Even though I have strips on the doors, rain still came thru due to high winds. I do not have that problem anymore. Great product for a great price.

These water absorber snakes are perfect for stopping water from going on the floor from the shower. When we remodeled our master bath, we installed low profile curb and a glass wall. The glass wall should have been a couple inches wider so now we have to block the water (splash from showering) from getting on the floor. This product is perfect for this use. My only suggestion is to make them in varied lengths. I could use one to be a little shorter, otherwise it’s perfect.

I have leaky windows in my apartment and needed something to soak up water getting in until the windows could be sealed. The snakes absorbed far more liquid than the old towels I was using previously, so I'm pretty happy. They do take a bit of time to dry, so maybe get an extra set to use while one set is drying.

My dishwasher busted a leak and leaked about a half inch of water on the entire basement, the barrier I made was a circle around my water heater just in case it rusted out in the future. These are nothing more than soft felt towels with about 10 small non absorbent balls in each pocket. The absorb absolutely nothing, they only diverted the water around them, so they are actually the opposite of what they are sold as…. They are water deterrents they push water away don’t absorb any.
