I keep getting dented heads because I play with Ahead Metallica sticks, and I hit my drums really freaking hard. I have gone through more heads in a day than most metal drummers will in a year. These have held up without a noticeable dent for a week now, and I have high hopes for it in the future. Also, if you are a heavy hitter drummer, find a head that holds up well, and then consider buying a few of them. Just in case. ;)

It's difficult to find the perfect drum head just by shopping and reading and even hearing demos. After installing it on my snare drum and adjusting the microphone it has that great quality sound. Wish it was a little quieter however with my sound system when I record I use my headphones and adjust the volume and tweak the tone of the snare drum and overall I get a great sound. I will purchase Moon gel to soften the overtones which are not too bad.

My son is a drummer and has been playing for about three years. He was gifted a drum set last year and had gone through 3 snare heads since he got the drum set. The reviews on this Evans head are spot on. This snare head takes a licking' and keeps on ticking! I Definitely recommend it!

After using Remo for about 9 years and Aquarian for 1 year, I can definitely say I've never had a more reliable snare head. This is the first snare head to not break before I changed it after beating on it for a year. Definitely buying this again and again.

These are the only drum heads my drummer son uses. He plays the heck outta them and replaces them a few times a year. They sound great and easy to install.

I figured that I would try this out after looking at the design of the drum head and seeing the reviews. I have had Remo heads on my snare for years . I put on this new Evan’s head and my snare sounds amazing . I normally have to use dampening rings to eliminate resonance but with this head design there is virtually none . I don’t need to use the ring. Im very happy with this purchase . The head has been on for only a week . I hope it wears better than the last few remo heads I have used .

This drum head is THE SNARE HEAD. It's very durable and it doesn't sound choked like you would think (because of the thickness). In fact, this drum head has a lot of crack! Ever since evans switched over to 360…the ST sounds choked to me, I tried this drum head and said my prayers and they were answered. Thank you Evans!Update: I was looking for a better snare drum head for a heavy hitter and can't find it. Drumeo has head comparisons that are great because you can hear what a good sounding snare drum will sound like with this head on it. I was looking at the genera hds, powercenters, and STs. This head still sounds the best to me out of them all.
