Great sound from the strings. I know there are better and much more expensive strings out there. But for the intermediate player, can’t beat the price for the sound these strings make. They make getting a mellow sound out of them much easier which makes them much easier to play. More instant success for the student or for playing for an audience.

The sound of my cello changed for the better immediately when I put the new strings on it. The best part is that they stayed in tune once I tuned the cello and have never slipped. I really like these strings.

These are the loudest strings I've ever used. Lots of volume...a little bit tinny on the D string. I'll use for a while, but will probably look for something else. (however my Quartet mates don't object to the new sound...but it IS different.)

The C string has a buzz which I had to replace. Then after a while the A strings begun to buzz as well but I did play it for quite a while, I really love the sound of this strings, it is quite rich but at over $200 I cannot risk to be in this situation again.I sent a message to the seller to see if we could replace that one string but I did not get even a reply. I will definitely save the name and buy from someone else next time; not so much because of the string but rather the fact that I was ignored. I am sure I will get an email soon after that which I will receive the same attention as mine LOL. In fact, immediately after this order I also bought a full set of Larsen mostly to test the tungsten C string; I hope I am happier with that but if not, I will go back to the true and tried Larsen/Spirocore.I hope every one has better luck than I have.

I know there are a lot of good reviews for these strings, but my experiences have been just the opposite. These strings made my cello sound the worst it has ever sounded- flat, metallic, tinny, and scratchy. Make sure you like these before you buy them! Don't buy a full set if you're experimenting for the first time.

Obviously, not all strings are going to sound the same, but these allow my instrument to ring a lot .
