Well, easy to install has nothing to do with the product, it is the vac itself that makes it easy or not.The belt works fine.

In previous reviews, there was debate about whether this fit the 4870 vacuum or not. IT DOES FIT. It fits perfectly. Follow the instructions to set the vac in "bare floor" mode and this will make it easier to put on the new belt. Expect it to have some more tension than your old worn out one.The package label I received says Eureka Smart Vac Belt for … 4875, 4880, 4885 by Eureka New and the bar code is X000IE9YBF.So, it does not mention 4870, but it does fit the 4870.My vacuum is a Eureka Boss 12 amp Model 4870 Type K-2. This is all on the label on the very bottom of the unit. It also says Electrolux Home Care Products, Inc.

I own a 12-year old Eureka 4870MZ Boss Smart-Vac Upright HEPA Vacuum Cleaner (reference attached photo showing its bottom). Earlier this year the vacuum partially sucked up a missing ankle sock which caused the vac belt to break and made a nasty burning smell. So I ordered a new vac belt, flipped the vacuum, and replaced the broken belt using these instructions:1. Place brushroll control lever in "bare floor" position.2. Remove three baseplate screws (using a Phillips-head screwdriver), then baseplate.3. Remove brushroll and old belt.4. Place new belt around motor shaft.5. Insert brushroll, left end first. Ensure new belt is centered.6. Replace baseplate by inserting all four front tabs into slots on base. Then rotate down and replace the three screws.
