The sheer quantity you get for the money here is several times that of other shops selling 2mm shafts/rods/axles, even compared to Uxcell, which is unusual.The rods are useful for reinforcement, hinges, indexing/positioning, and even linear motion in your 3D designs that are to be 3D printed. There are little 2mm plastic bushings you can buy to facilitate smooth motion, but a cut segment of Bowden tube also seems to work very well (it is Teflon and you can compress it in your design for tight fitment). For example, I used the rods, cut Bowden tube, and some M2 hardware to make a micro 2-axis stage to position optical fibers with a footprint of only 32x20mm[1 of: EUDAX 100Pcs STEM Toys Shaft Round Rod Axles for DIY Toy RC Car Boat Helicopter Model Part (2mmx100mm)]$9.99 @ 2022-02-22

Got these to put wheels on 3D printed cars for my kids. They are very strong and the thickness is perfect for the vehicles I've printed. They're longer than I need, but it's better to be too long than not long enough. They're easy to cut down to the exact length needed, so they've been fantastic for me. I highly recommend these if using on toys for kids that could destroy a Sherman tank (like the monsters that run around my house calling me dad).

I was expecting slightly thicker but if I'd paid attention to the dimensions I'd have known better. These are slightly smaller in diameter than a lollipop stick. I'd buy them again.

By far the best deal on a bunch of these standardized metal shafts. It seems like there's one common gear size and shaft size for most small mass produced toys, and this 2mm diameter action is it. Despite how thin it is, these little metal rods aren't fragile! Don't worry about bending them trying to push them into press fit gears or wheels. (Although if your pinching force is insufficient, you might need to use a hammer.) Comes clean in a in a sturdy box. Good purchase.
