  • No, you don't need. There's a zipper on the belly for peeing.

  • We do not recommend using weight to choose size. The best way is to choose the right size based on your dog's back length and chest measurement.

  • Wrap your soft tape measure around the very base of the neck or chest and leaving two fingers of room. Back measure: Stretch the tape measure in a straight line from the base of the tail to the small indent between your dog’s shoulder blades

Love this for my itchy fur baby!! After her spa day and I have her all softened up with her coconut oil, I put this on her so she won’t lick all the coconut oil off!! Somehow she has gotten it off herself, just like a child, she has to be watched!!! I would definitely recommend!!

I purchased this to put on our dog while in our RV since he's a big shedder and we wanted to tame some of that. His measurements are Back length: 21", Neck Girth: 23", Check Girth: 26.5", he weighs 45lbs. We purchased an XL as the XXL looked like it would have been too big. It has a zipper at the bottom so you don't have to take it off for potty breaks and a zipper on the top to assist with putting it on which is good. The legs on it don't fit right and it was uncomfortable for him to walk and kept him from moving around much because I guess he didn't want to deal with it. You can see in the pictures, we had to role up the legs as they were too long for him. I ended up purchasing a Shed Defender Original Dog Onesie and that fit much better.

Love it!! Love the material quality, the stretchiness, how soft and comfortable is, ease of putting on, love the color and how cute it looks. Although, the size is not right. She is 68lbs so I got the XXXL and looks like it’s a little too big for her. Just gotta change the size for a smaller one.

This item is almost perfect. The reason I chose this surgery recovery suit over others is because it looked really convenient to just be able to unzip the area underneath each time we take our dog out to pee, then zip it back up to come inside — no undressing or complicated folding process each time he goes in and out. So we were excited when the XXXLarge fit our 115lb almost-2 yr old Great Dane just right — snug everywhere, with just a little extra space around the under belly (so it wasn’t tight around his incision from being neutered). We tried it on him, and tested it out and the zippers are easy to use. But there’s one major problem that makes this product unusable: When we unzip the underneath side so he can go outside, the loose fabric around the zipper hangs down just slightly — it’s not baggy due to being too big on him or anything like that, it’s just a zippered area of the fabric hanging open — and because of that there’s no way to move that little bit of extra fabric out of the way. If our dog were to pee while wearing this suit, it would be almost impossible for him not to pee on the fabric that’s hanging down in that area. We tried adjusting the zipper to be more or less opened, but that didn’t help. And there’s no way to fold or tuck the excess fabric out of the way. So it’s a great idea, just doesn’t work for our dog — so we’ll have to return it. (Our dog is tall and thin, so maybe it would work better for a dog that has plenty of weight around its waist???)

Del frente le quedó la 3x muy, muy justa y de atrás le quedó enorme a mi perro labrador. Al tener heridas postoperatorias en varias partes de su cuerpo, lo entallado del frente hizo que friccionara y sangrara por la axila

I liked the look and feel of the suit. Directions would have been nice. I put it on upside down the first time (the zipper on the belly). He has suprised me by how well he has kept it on. It also helped him to relax and relieve some anxiety. My issues are the legs are all to long so I have been rolling them up and the actual handle to the zipper has broken off of the area that allows him to go potty. I am afraid that I will cut myself or hurt him trying to zip or unzip it. We are no longer going to be able to use it which is most unfortunate as it was helping with his allergy relief.

Very flexible fabric to allow for normal movement, and covers more surface area than her coat does so I’m hoping if I put this on under her coat, and it does fit as the coat is loose on her and this is tighter fitting so it shouldn’t be an issue to put another layer over it, and I’m hoping it’ll help trap her body heat in so she doesn’t get as cold because her coat doesn’t protect her some parts of her belly and her legs. I might even put this on her for shedding season so she doesn’t leave fur everywhere when we’re out at doctor appointments. The sleeves are a bit long but she wears boots anyway to make sure she doesn’t damage any floors with her claws when she’s inside any public buildings, and it helps give her traction on slick floors, so I’m hoping the boots are thick enough that the sleeves can’t slide down over the boots far enough to effect her.

Our goldendoodle had surgery last week on his back leg. He is crated with a cone which he struggles with. He has an equa fleece which I decided to put on him, which worked but is too warm in the house. So after some research I purchased the suit. Brilliant, cooler made such a different. That was until this morning when the zip got stuck.Good produced but more attention is need to the zip.

Shih Tzu, 15 pounds. Small fit just right. Can unzip and he can pee w it on, so don’t have to take it all the way off. The zipper there is small and you have to carefully place your finger on inside so that you don’t accidentally zip his skin. It is small so when zipped up doesn’t bother dog, tradeoff that it is harder to operate than a big zipperStretchy silky materialHad to keep cone on mine as he still licked the area through the material

I've seen a number of reviews note poor fit because the legs are too long - GET A PAIR OF SCISSORS AND CUT TO THE RIGHT LENGTH. The bottom of the legs are not hemmed and the material is non-fraying. When the legs are too long, it changes the entire fit. Better to have a product with legs too long than too short, especially when it's so easy to fix. Unless you have something custom made, it's unlikely you'll ever get a perfect fit/product.Our little 10lb poodle had a large number of masses removed from all over her body. We needed a suit that pretty much covered her everywhere - certainly more coverage than her usual outdoor coats. This product was PERFECT! It's easy to get on, covers her everywhere and has a really convenient 2nd zipper underneath so she's covered from her belly to her butt. It unzips so she can relieve herself without soiling the suit. For her, the legs were too long and didn't stay rolled up which led to her getting her leg out and into the main part of the suit turning her, essentially, into a 3 legged dog. Not a problem, the legs aren't hemmed and the fabric doesn't fray so I just cut off the excess length. Easy peasy. You can also use some Self Adherent Cohesive Wrap Bandages to make a certain part more snug, keep it in place or to add a barrier layer. My dog, at first, tried to continue licking/biting an incision through the garment. Over the suit, I wrapped some self adherent wrap around just like I would any other wound.

I purchased a XL for my 40lbs border collie X blue Heeler, after reading many reviews that say to size up. Definitely size up. The proportions are just so weird. Super long legs, from chest to butt it’s way too short and super tight as if the suit was too small, and the suit hangs really low under the belly like I ordered 3 sizes too big. The stretch is good and the fabric and zippers are great though! Would maybe recommend trying a different one..

The fabric was not breathable for my dog. He was overheated and distressed.I liked that it contained his shedding, but it wasn’t worth his discomfort and stress.Great concept but not healthy.

When it first arrived I thought it was amazing! However tried it on the dog and the sizing was nowhere near what it stated in the description. It tore in a few areas whenever he tried to make himself comfortable. Also it states in the description that there is a zipper area of male dogs to use when toileting, as for sizing i Always have to remove it from our boy before toileting otherwise he’ll cover the tummy area in urine. Definitely not worth nearly £30!!!!!!
