Quality products for years Made In USA🇺🇸. Unfortunately this hammer is made in Thailand. I'll have to use it see if it still is working in 20 years like my other Estwing hammers.

I have several vintage and modern Estwing hammers and hand axes. This one looks good, but I’m dissapointed that the head is loose out of the box. I’ll soak it in linseed oil, but it’s useless for forging as is.

It hammers well, the handle makes it a little hard to use in tight spaces.

General weight for the work I do. Handle is nice, and the head is ground good. I'll take the bevel off the face and polish the face, but that's about all the touch-up this one needs. The ball is ground nice without irregularities. Handle feels good and head is positioned correctly. The head itself is a great thing as it is correct in all aspects, and even has the correct stylistic lines. Without question, the best out there. I'll go ahead and grab a 16 as well. 10-times better quality than a US-made Vaughan or Chinese. Taiwan has some of the best manufacturing as of this date. It is sad that Estwing is a sell-out and moved production, but if I'm going to buy a hammer, I'll buy the best one, not an inferior one just because it's made in the US. For those that complain about a handle being loose, I have no advice for amateurs.

It's a hammer!! It's and Estwing!!, and has "PRO" written on it!!...therefore it has to be good right?...Well it is well balanced with a wooden handle. Which is nice in cold climates. It is of the classic design that has been around for the better part of two centuries and it doesn't have a weird shaped "ergonomic" handle or a multi-colored head made from exotic materials that looks like something a comic book character would carry around. With an overall length of 14 inches from the top of the metal head to the bottom of the handle and at 16oz, it is short and light enough to not be much of a burden in a portable tool box but hefty enough to still be of some use...like when needing to beat rusty bolts out of your suspension because your drivers side control arm happened to decide to separate from you in snowstorm in the middle of nowhere. Because its a "PRO", doesn't cause a "spectacle" when i remove from my toolbox when in the presence of others and I haven't managed break the handle off yet..it gets 5 stars.

Definitely not the same as the advertised photo.Looks tacky and reads “made in Taiwan.”Very disappointing as it is a gift which was supposed to be a classy looking hammer with a nice wooden handle rather than one with tacky printing and shiny varnish
