Beautiful. Really love it when it is turned on, however, do not go by the pictures. It is smaller then it looks in the pictures. You will want to use the measurements to see if it will work for your space.

I wasn't sure what to expect because the description showed it as 'plastic' but it's not.* This is a GLASS, crackle-design large Easter egg which I would call 'midweight'.* About as tall as 1-1/2 standard-size soda cans* Takes 3 - AAA batteries (not included) which go in the battery compartment located on the bottom.* Battery Cover is easy to remove/replace and batteries go in/out easily as well.* The brown-tone cross with a purple surplice around it is so beautiful.* The cross, etc. design is on 2 sides of the egg and the other 2 sides are just crackle glass through which you can clearly see the beautiful lights.* The lighting inside is done with fairy lights.* The last 2 pictures I posted is the egg lit up in the darkest room in the house - my bedroom which is away from the sun (when the picture was taken) AND has thick blackout curtains - so, yeah, dark room lol and the light from the egg is just so bright - yet warm.I don't particularly care for the 'crackle' style but this is so beautiful. Stands flat on a table/shelf or mantel but I'd keep away from the littles because this IS glass.I would definitely get this again. I love that it is a reminder that Easter is about the risen Christ and not just bunnies, eggs and chocolate - although they are represented beneath the cross lol.

This egg represents the true meaning of Easter. He is risen, (He is risen, indeed)! We look forward to putting this out on a shelf in our entryway to remind us all of the real meaning for celebrating Easter. I love mercury glass and crackle glass. This large egg is made of crackle glass. Although I don’t see any yellow on the glass in person, some of my pictures as well as some of the ones online have a bit of a golden hue. We look forward to seeing this daily as a reminder of the gifts we have been given.I don’t have the right batteries for the fairy lights that are inside the egg. I did take a picture of it with a candle behind it, although it seems bright enough without the additional light. I rolled the glass egg around on the counter so you could get a sense of the size, as well as the colors and design placement. It appears to me that there are two decals placed on either side of the egg. It is beautiful.
