My daughter was learning how to play the trombone and reading this book made her progress smooth.It starts out with the basics and simple songs and progresses at a good pace.

This is the book I learned on back in high school and is a great into book. Teaches you the slide positions for each note, slowly builds up adding notes, covers basic music theory like key and time signatures, gives you probably 30 simple songs to play and practice, has exercises and scales to practice and a chart at the back that lists which note is which position.I haven’t played in a decade but this got started again. Very beginner friendly book.

I've been using it with my beginning band students this year and I like it. A solid beginner's band book - goes over the positions / fingerings for each instrument with a chart in the back, and introduces the notes in an easy, logical order that isn't too fast or slow. I would buy it again. Only negative is I was surprised it's not available at a lower price, even used. But I guess that speaks to the popularity of the series.

On découvre petit à petit les rudiments de l'écriture musicale et beaucoup de petites pièces distrayantes.Je l'utilise en priorité avec mes élèves.Les professeurs maitrisant bien l'anglais pourront trouver leur place sur un "partage informatique" appartenant à la marque, et proposer des exercices en ligne à leurs élèves. Les accès sont soumis à une procédure de sécurité maitrisée.
