This Eskimo tent I purchased to have camping. I use it for a shower tent, puzzle tent, extra change room camping. Put up some lights inside. Love all the windows & 2 doors. We also store our e-bikes in it when travelling. Keeps our camping gear out of the elements. Easy up , easy down. Very portable. Being insulated gives extra warmth in fall with our buddy heater in it when we can not have a fire.

I was able to erect this shelter in a fairly stiff breeze by myself. Very roomy and warm for two guys. Pouches inside for gloves, etc. Take down was just as easy.

I bought the 3 person non insulated version for cold weather camping with my son. We ran a buddy heater all night and it worked but it did sweat on the inside and got our gear a little wet. I really liked the quality and it fits two twin size air mattresses, it's a little tight but they fit! Cots would actually be work even better but I was happy with it.I just bought the 3 insulation version. I expect it will produce less condensation on the interior since its insulated. Also, I plan on making a floor out of heavy tarp and lining up the shelter grommets with stainless steel tarp grommets, for the win! Might even have a nice little China lady sow in the floor, but we'll see!

We live in Florida. So why an ice fishing pop up shelter you might ask. We have been looking for an insulated covering to winterize our pool pump, motor, etc. It is set up on a concrete platform that is about 5' x 5'. Last year we covered it with tarps, blankets, bungee cords, blocks etc. and put a light underneath the heap to keep heat in. The tarps would blow off and the rain always managed to get in along with the freezing temperatures. Never again! This year we set up the Eskimo 69445 Ice fishing pop up shelter, and it works perfectly! It was a great fit. We just pulled on the cords and it popped open. Then all we had to do was lift it over our pool equipment and put the stakes and cords on to tie it down. We are so happy with it. I'm sure it's great for ice fishing too.

Weigh wise - heavy and awkward to carry and set up. Sucks that you have to anchor it, and if you don’t have a drill with the right bit, then anchoring by hand takes a while. Other than that - it is LOVED and it holds heat well, it is roomy (have had two adults and 1 child at once), and I like that I can fully stand up on the inside and have maybe an once of two of room above. I’m 5’10” for reference.

Great ice fishing hut. The 3i is a perfect 2-man hut. Has two doors - handy for choosing one door to exit down wind (and leave the upwind door closed to keep the heat in). Good visibility out the windows. Held up in 60 km/hr (!) winds (the screws are heavy duty and really work well to tie the hut into the ice). Highly recommend this hut. Given the experience I had, the 2i is probably a perfect 1-man hut and the 5i a perfect 3-man hut. In the 3i, I tried fishing 3 holes and three people - our lines just kept getting tangled. You could probably fish 3 holes in the 3i in a triangle shape, but seating and space would be very tight for 3 people.

I have no complaints about the Quickfish 3i model-light enough and I can set it up by myself in about 1 minute. I can also set it up in my basement to dry out...any bigger and that wouldn't be possible. Poles seem very strong and thick with metal hubs. Insulated is the way to go if you're fishing in conditions -5 C or colder-hardly any condensation but you do get some near bottom and on windows/zippers/stitching. I wish it came with a ceiling net to stow extra gear but I stole one out of my summer pop-up 6 man tent and it works great. Heats very well with the Big Buddy Heater 4000/9000/18000 btu. We use the 18000 to get it rock'n and then knock it down to 9000 btu. It's been -15 and you'll want that heat. This really is a great size for two Adults - you could do three adults especially with the two doors but it would take some chair/hole planning. I would say - if you're setting up holes outside with tip-ups - three adults easy! If you're fishing from inside then i'd say two adults. Excellent height...you'll never hit your head unless you're 7 feet tall. Very happy with the purchase and love the red colour with the black top - also has reflectors so snowmobiles won't collide with it if they're colour blind or you leave it up one night?! The heavier 3i model stays put in light winds without the need to anchor. Great model! Thank you Eskimo! Great Product!

Previously had the Eskimo 949i and was pleased with it's performance. Was looking for a smaller tent for solo outings and lighter weight for shoulder season fishing pulling a sled by hand. This thing weights 32.5-lbs with tent inside the included bag (not including anchors). It's much shorter than the 949i when folded, so I wont' have to fold down any back seats in the SUV. This will fit 2 adults or 1 adult and two small children comfortably. From my research, some say this has one door, but I can confirm it has 2 doors. One thing I wish it had was mesh storage in the ceiling like many of it's competitors and even Eskimo's other models.I narrowed it down to the 3i and the Otter Vortex Cabin Thermal, but upon looking at the Otter in person and not being able to stand up straight inside (i'm 5'8") it was a no go for me. At pretty much similar size/weight to the Otter, the 3i has much better ceiling height. The bag is oversized, but still loads from the end with cinch cord closing design. I wish it was full length zippered like it's competitors. Not a big deal as the tents small and easily managed into the bag. The bag also has a foam padded bottom, likely added to help protect the hubs from the up/down bouncing when getting the tent into the bag.

This three person, insulated shanty is a marvel of efficiency of design and function. It's comes packaged in a rugged nylon carrying case. Removed from the case, it is quite easy to pop up by simply pulling up the roof and then all four sides. Setting it up in a wind is challenging, as the shelter can act as a wind catcher. Two people are most likely needed for a windy day set-up.There's lots of room inside for three people to fish. I love that I can stand up inside of it. It has a very high ceiling. It comes with four ice pegs that screw into the ice. If there is a wind, there is a rope tie down. The unit weighs just under 40 pounds. It is considerably more difficult to take down and stow than it is to set up.Worth the price. A quality product.Kone
