Useful Tips
Made from a cherry lid and poplar box with a special coating where lid and sides meet that makes call waterproof to run wet or dry.
Scrape the paddle bottom against a side panel’s lip to make realistic hen sounds.
- To mimic clucking, pop the paddle off the call’s lip with short upward strokes.
- Lightly scrape and stroke the paddle across the lip to yelp.
- To cluck, make fast clucks with sharply repeated pops along the lip.
- To purr, slowly drag the paddle across the lip.
- Yelp - Simple, but effective. Yelp to locate and attract gobblers.
- Kee Kee Run - a good call to try out to bring a flock together that is trying to reunite after being scattered.
- Tree Call - Use this call when you are set up on a roosted gobbler waiting on him to come down.
- Cutt - Use this call to excite or heat up a hen. When another hen is cutting at you, you can use those same excited cutts to draw her into range and therefore drag the gobbler with.

This is a good sounding call...to me anyway. The true test is just 3 days away! I've located the 'sweet spot' of the call & now just trying to get where I'm constant on hitting it & I'm ready to get after 'em!

Where to start? I know: buy this.Huge value for your money. Standouts:1. The box call is beautiful. In a simple way. Sound is near perfect, right out of the box. Very well made2. Slate is very well made, too. Great sound3. Haven’t tried the diaphragm, but looks solid.
