suction cup mounts work well for a brief period then they stop working. I don't know if the sun damages them or the weather or what. I assume they become less pliable over time. Good idea and decent mount....but the suction cups fail after about a year of use. Not a bad product...but one needs a large supply of the suction cups as replacements. I prefer a fixed mount for my escort radar detectors.

This is a simple device that works as it's supposed to. I'm giving it 4/5 stars because the metal tab is a 1/2 mm or so too wide so that it doesn't slide that easily into my Beltronics V965 Vector Radar and Laser Detector. I guess I need to get a metal file and shave it down a little bit.Also, now that I'm in cold weather, I've noticed that one of the suction cups isn't holding on. So my radar detector is hanging by a single cup at the moment.Still - it's cheap and works reasonably well.
