At first I didn't understand the twist-lock feature. This is new to me. So when this first arrived, I plugged my sockets into it and found that some of the posts had zero retention force for holding them in place. I was ready to give it a bad review. Then I remembered the twist-lock mentioned in the title and tried again. Very nice.

This socket organizer is simply top notch. I love the twist feature. I bought this for a set of sockets I purchased from Harbor freight which had no organizer, just came in a plastic package. The size is absolutely great. It is light weight. They look amazing. The value for the money is awesome. The ease of removal is simply simple. Definitely worth the buy.

I've switched to Ernst socket organizers for all my main toolbox socket organization needs. I like the twist locks over the ball-retention organizers, or worse, the old style bent metal clips. They really do offer the perfect amount of resistance - the sockets don't fall out when retained, and you simply twist up and out to get them off.The rails are sturdy - they're a robust plastic and don't easily flex event when loaded down. The teeth on the rail keep the clips from sliding around like on some cheap rails I have had.You can mix and match clips from different rails from 1/4" - 1/2" drive, and use different color rails for visual organization.Best of the price is reasonable, and they're made the US! What's not to like?

I love these rails. They are identical to the Tekton organization products (I believe Ernst makes them for Tekton...), just in a nice blue color. Tekton only has red, black, and gray. The blue rails are a nice addition to my white/blue/black tool organization setup. I bought 5 of these to house some of the sockets from my Tekton bit socket set (metric hex, SAE hex, Torx, screwdriver, and long metric hex, the rest live in the case). If you buy these and need extra clips and have rails from Tekton, the clips from the Tekton rails will slide right onto the Ernst rails. Otherwise you'll need to buy them separately (from either Ernst or Tekton). I was able to cram all 11 short metric hex sockets on one rail, all 11 long metric hex sockets on one rail, all the short SAE hex sockets on one rail, the screwdriver sockets on one rail, and all but the T60 socket (which I honestly never see myself using) from the Torx set on one rail. These little 8 inch rails are very handy. If I don't know which size I'll need, I'll grab the whole rail to bring to the car.

These hold sockets more securely than other organizers I have used. They wont lose spring clips like the metal ones and wont just let the socket fall off like the plastic ones with the metal detent ball. We will see what happens when I drop them a few times, but so far so good. They might not be as fast as the standard push on style but if you have to carry a set or two to your vehicle or to a project around the house I would rather take the extra second to twist them on and off rather than have them fall off and roll under something.

This is a great option for a small toolkit/bag. bought this to hold a selection of common sockets for my vehicle in a small tool bag I keep in the trunk. It’s just about the perfect size for this. As you can see in the pictures it’s almost exactly the same size as the 8” ratchet and the 6” extension with a deep socket on the end.I keep 10mm, 12mm, 14mm, 17mm, 19mm, 21mm sockets for common bolts on the car plus a 3/4” for my bike rack and a 3/8 to 1/4 adapter just in case. There’s technically one more spot but it would have to be for a pretty small socket. There’s technically lockup works well so far and I haven’t had any sockets get dislodged in the pouch.

For the price, I don’t think you can beat it. Does exactly what it says it will. The socket holders slide off either end of the rail with enough force to make sure it’s not happening on accident but also little enough that it’s not super hard to do when you mean to.The stickers are an excellent add on and were the selling point for me over other versions of these rails. My impact sockets dont have contrasting labels to it was super nice to have the stickers to be able to quickly identify sizes. Could be better if there were enough labels to label both sides of the socket holders but one side is enough. Again, for the price, I’m not upset I couldn’t label both sides.Time will tell but the rails seem sturdy. They give a little flex, as plastic will. But it’s very little. Weighed with ten deep sockets you can still pick this thing up however you want to and its not bending or folding or feeling like it’s about to break. You can flip it upside down fully weighted and shake it and it doesnt flex much more than if you were holding it still and none of the sockets fall off. The lock feature is another nice add on to this set. They greatly reduce the carry footprint compared to a hard case that they come in. And on the rail they fit in tool rolls like the atlas yorktown. Most of these will stay in my home while the metrics are really the ones I use frequently. Could easily mix and match the sockets to have a rail of frequently used and then a bunch of other rails of the less used ones.Multiple color options allows for easily identification of drive size or of metric vs sae. I wish there were 6 colors though so I could identify metric vs sae AND 1/2” vs 3/8” vs 1/4” each with it’s own color set.
