Pinkie slides seem to be the Rodney Dangerfield of slides -- they get no respect. But it feels great when used as intended. Just fit over the first joint of the pinkie and leave the second joint free to flex. Easy peasy. Don't try to mash it down to the finger web. Wasn't made for that. And don't try to use in on ring finger -- get a ring slide for that. This slide is all I could have asked for except for a little more heft. Love my Craftsman 5/8" but it's too bulky. But this little pinkie slide will do the job for me on acoustic. My hand certainly feels freer when playing with and without the slide. I find it easy to move between finger lead and slide lead with greater ease with this pinkie slide.

Works well for people with small fingers. Got it for my son so he can work on his blues chops.

Si ottiene un bel suono metallico, fate attenzione che il diametro è davvero contenuto ed è correttamente indicato che si tratta di un accessorio per il mignolo.

Great and inexpensive pinky slide. A pinky slide should fit like in my picture and be snug. This fits perfect and I don’t have small fingers. Ignore the reviews that said it was way too small- they were trying to fit it all the way down their pinky finger which you don’t do with a pinky slide. This one weighs 29g and is well balanced with a nice balanced tone and sustain.

I got this slide because I have an old Ernie Ball slide that probably was the predecessor to this one. It's a little shorter than most slides, but still thick and sounds good. That said, when I ordered this Ernie Ball pinky slide I wasn't sure what to expect. I read some reviews where guys said they had issues putting it on their pinky. I figured I'd try it out anyway. After getting it, and trying it out, I really like it. It fits on my pinky well. I can force it down most of the way without any discomfort at all, and the slide stays there. It's fast chrome, made in Taiwan like the Fender FCSS1 -- another very fast, but standard sized chrome steel slide. This one looks like it was made at the same factory. The Ernie Ball pinky slide is quick, fast, and accurate. The slightly smaller diameter places a smaller bit of slide against the strings, which gives you slightly more accurate notes, and almost a fret-like tone at times. Being that it is very light weight, it's less of a bother when fretting chords with your left hand. It doesn't 'get in the way' as much. The fact that it never is going to fall off is also a help.I understand why some slide players may not like this slide, maybe their fingers are too thick for it to fit well, and some players may not like to have the slide hanging off the tip of their finger -- which this slide is apparently designed to do (think Johnny Winter and a few other famous players). But if you can fit it on your finger, it will be another tool for the arsenal. It's extremely fast, and sounds amazingly good. Can't beat it for the price. I'm happy with it.

Some slides are massive and too loose. This one was just perfect for both my pinky and ring finger. The weight is good, and the tone is good as well.

This slide probably too small for many guys, but as a female this slide is perfect for me! Finally a slide that fits without having to add padding to it. Also, I am one of those strange people who play slide mandolin, and the width it perfect for a mandolin! Great pinky slide for a guitar!

Just referencing that other guy's crass comment. Honestly, it does what it says on the tin, it's a "pinky" sized slide. Really, it's cut shorter, with a smaller diameter, with only a marginal change to the wall of the slide. As a proportionately shorter, slimmer guy (5'8, 160+ lbs), it fits better on my ring finger than my pinky, so your mileage may vary, but I'll keep it, for it's snug fit on the ring and other fingers.Would definitely consider if you're struggling to find a perfectly or appropriately sized, especially given the price (~$6 as of 2020)

The *inside* diameter is 21/32" It's a little tight for me. I find that after a few minutes my finger swells a bit making it a bit difficult to remove. If it fitted, it would be very nice.As the title says, "5 stars, IF IT FITS! 1, OTHERWISE!" How many stars to give? One could average and award 3, but it's either going to be great or awful. For those for whom it fits, this is a great slide, so it seems appropriate to award 5 stars with the proper warning.

This is a very small, inexpensive, brass slide. The light weight brass makes a tinny sound and is not as easy to fret as a heavier slide but if metal is your preference it works. It is small, even for a pinky slide. This is okay for the price but not my preference. Buying slides on line without the opportunity of trying them on for size and feel is a risk, but if you like the metal sound, this inexpensive slide is a reasonable experiment to add to your collection.I have found that I prefer the tone and feel of the ceramic slide. The Moonshine 243 (medium) is a great pinky slide.
