This chair has overall excellent build quality with the exception of the plastic-handled bolts that hold the cushions in place. Those were difficult to get to 'bite' and seem too short to provide support for 200lbs as claimed. There is "sway" in the chair when used by a 190lb person. The cushioning is generous. Assembly was a pain in the rear because none of the cross-braces are individually labeled and they *are* different. There is no detail about how to use the cam bolts, so a user who has not previously encountered them will not e able to figure it out from these instructions. There was also no mention of the skid pads in the instructions. Overall is a reasonably comfortable kneeling chair among the kneeling chairs I have used (you will not necessarily be able to contact the backrest depending on your height and where you have the adjustable pads set) but I have concerns about the day those adjustment bolts give way and I end up on the floor. I would not pay $180 again for this given these concerns.

This kneeling chair has been a great addition to my workspace. Assembly took some time since the wooden pieces weren’t labeled, and I was missing a few screws. However, customer support quickly resolved the issue, which I appreciated.Once built, the chair is comfortable, but it does takes some getting used to. At first, my body had to get used to the new posture, but after a short break-in period, I can sit for extended periods without discomfort. It forces me to sit upright, preventing the slouching that happens in my regular chair after hours at my desk. I also like that I can switch positions, even sitting cross-legged. The rocking feature feels stable, and the back leg prevents it from tipping too far back, which is reassuring. As someone who fidgets, I enjoy the subtle movement and functionality. One thing to keep in mind is that it is a large chair, and it doesn't fold away, so you will have to have a dedicated space for it. This is something to consider for smaller spaces.Overall, this is a great alternative chair to cycle into my daily routine. It wasn’t the easiest to assemble, and I wouldn’t mind a bit more cushioning, but it does exactly what it’s designed to do encourage better posture and provide a comfortable alternative for long workdays.

This chair is made with heavy, solid wooden frames and supports. It requires assembly and even though the instructions are graphic, the supports aren't labeled so you have to figure out what goes where by trial and error or eye-balling it. It took me about an hour overall because the parts weren't labeled. Everything feels sturdy and strong except for the way the seat attaches to the base. The seat and leg rests both have long bolts with plastic handles on them so you can move these pads forward or back to suit a variety of heights, but it seems like they should be longer or something. Such great workmanship in the wood but all of my weight is resting on 4 bolts? So far, so good though. I've been using it as a conversation chair in my work office that I occasionally sit in for a change or when I have a family member come to visit me. I would like to transition it into becoming my office chair but I spend many hours in front of a screen and I'm not ready for that kind of change just yet. I would have to gradually shift to that because this chair changes the position of your body which can cause soreness or fatigue in ways one isn't used to. Overall, it's a unique chair that rocks and looks interesting.

I just finished assembling this chair, and I have to say—it might be the sturdiest piece of furniture I own. As someone who has bought and assembled countless IKEA and Amazon pieces over the years (many of which were made of MDF or something barely better than cardboard), this chair stands out. It’s made from actual plywood (possibly oak, though I’m not sure) that’s at least an inch thick, with hefty bolts and solid connecting hardware. The wood is well-shaped, sanded, and even includes an anti-tip design at the back for added stability. The adjustment knobs and clever notches allow you to change the seat position and kneeling angle, making it feel very Scandinavian—something my grandpa would have proudly designed for his workshop.Assembly was fairly straightforward once I figured out how the pieces fit together, though the unlabeled parts made it a bit confusing at first (definitely something the manufacturer should improve). The structure itself is impressively sturdy and well-balanced. My only small complaint is the black adjustment knobs, which visually take away from the natural, craftsman-like wood design, but that’s a minor detail.I am instantly comfortable in this chair and relieved of back pain—I work from home and have been sitting in it all day. Sometimes after an hour or so, I have to switch positions because of unwanted pressure on my shins, but when that happens, I just sit with my knees up and feet planted on the lower plank. I saw another review saying it didn’t work for them, but we might just be different body sizes! I’m petite (under 5’2” and 115 lbs), but my husband, who is 6 feet tall and a bigger guy, enjoys it just as much as I do.Overall, if you’re looking for a solid, beautifully designed, and highly functional chair, this is a fantastic choice!
