Better than stock temp gauge in my 1988 sierra, but the gauge is sticking really bad. Truck is off and wiggling it around doesnt do anything. Bought this gauge when it was expensive and not really worth it anymore

Replaced a long lived previous Equus 8242 2" Mechanical Water Temperature Gauge. That one shorted out when frayed ancient wiring in my 63 Valiant touched the alternator and did a number on it and the rest of the electrical system.It works, it's accurate and is a great value for the money. I would like to add one to my 86 Olds Calais, as it has just an idiot light for temperature readings. An oil pressure one would be nice as well, A pillar mounted.I will use this company's gauges when I do that.

My new custom dash has all 8000 series Equus gauges. This includes a speedometer, boost gauge, tachometer, oil pressure, water temp, voltage, and fuel level. I love the look and the quality is amazing for the price you pay. The only downside of this gauge in particular is the connection at the back. It's fragile. The line and tube have ether gas in it. If it breaks or if the line pops out, the gauge becomes junk. It happened to me by accident. Just be careful and you will have a more accurate mechanical water temp gauge than any electrical sender could ever dream of.

Easy install. Comes with many size adapter options, bolted right into my race car. Love the white gauge— even tho all my other gauges are black, I wanted this to stand out. Arguably the most important gauge on a race car is keeping an eye on engine water temp. This works well and doesn’t break the bank

I kinked my last one too hard when removing my engine so bought this single gauge and liked that I'm not paying for a bracket too as I already have one. When redoing older cars I like using these mechanical gauges because it's so quick and easy. Love that you get 3 back lighting color options. The blue ended up looking teal, which fit with my hot rods theme perfect.

Super easy to instal and works well. I have this on my 84 Chevy k10 to replace all the old looking gauges. They fit really well in the hole and tight but the screw that holds it in place hits against the inside of the dash so I had to put a price of take on it to keep it in place. It's tight in the hole so it won't move to begin with but I wanted to make so it didn't pop out. Lights a bright and easy to read day or night. Very happy with all the lights equus lights I've put on the truck. Some people say they are junk, I've never had a problem with any of their light I have on my trucks.
