Works flawlessly! It was exactly what I was looking for, I use this with my Wii connected to a projector and it eliminates the need to plug the sensor bar into the Wii. Any old USB A wall power adapter will work just fine.

When I installed it, it worked fine. I went to go use it a few days later and half of the sensor bar is out. It's just been sitting on a TV. All it is is two sets of LEDs. How they managed to make it that unreliable is beyond me.

I used this for pointer controls for Dolphin & for my Wii. Having it run off of USB power is very convenient, I can just plug it in to an old low current USB AC adapter, I don't need to have a Wii to plug it in to.

You can't really say this too often with knock offs, but this one was honestly more responsive and better than the original. I have tried a few in the past with limited success so if you are looking for one that will last and also improve range and sensitivity then I would recommend this one.

Does what it's supposed to, but I find tracking in two corners of the screen aren't very accurate if I'm playing in the corner of my living room (some 8 to 12 feet from the sensor). I didn't play much Wii back in the day, but I don't remember having issues with the OEM one at that range. Still, it does the job, so for under $10 I'm happy with it. Now let's see how long it lasts before it stops working.

Perfect for "Dolphin". No battery operated nonsense. Plug it into any spare USB and it works. You probably have a USB on your gaming monitor, so you don't even have to worry about cabling.

A "New" sensor bar... which comes with scratches all over it, the wrong colour, along with a snapped stand. No thanks

My Mayflash DolphinBars worked great for having both bluetooth sync and IR sensors. Well... until the stopped working. Having replaced one for the IR LEDs burning out, only to have the second one suffer the same early fate, I decided to give this sensor bar a shot. For one, the DolphinBar has 5 LEDs on each side, while the Nextronics only has 3 on each side. When comparing the two using my cell camera, the Nextronics LEDs do seem a little brighter. One thing I can say for sure is that the Nextronics sensors are detected by my Wiimote much better than the DolphinBar. I can easily step back more than 10 feet without the sensitivity cranked all the way up.Best of all, the Nextronics sensors don't get hot like the DolphinBar did (which I believe led to the early LED death). Hopefully this one will last!

If you want to get into Wii emulation, this is a product you pretty much need. It does a fine job of detecting Wii remotes and displaying the cursor correctly on the TV, but there are a few areas where this thing just falls flat. Firstly, I have never been a fan of the super-thin cable that the censor bar has, and being a third party product, there is no reason why they couldnt swap it out for something a bit sturdier. The cable itself is still finely made, so you wont have to worry about it snapping off, but its still a nitpick I have. As other people have pointed out, this censor bar uses 6 LED lights to track positioning whereas the official one uses 10. Its hard to tell if that is the problem or the emulation itself, but motion based inputs are not as precise as you would see on an actual Wii.Other than that it is basically identical to the official censor bar except that it runs through USB instead of Nintendo's proprietary connector. It does exactly what the description says.
