Cannot use with yarn. Bought for a kids' school craft and couldn't use. Description is inaccurate. Not a standard grid like other plastic canvas. All of the holes are too small for any kind of a yarn needle. Around the edges of the shape, the holes are different shapes and sizes, not square. Many of those holes are too small for even an embroidery needle. Probably could use to embroidery with floss, but definitely not regular yarn.
