Very well-made toy. Will take a beating. I purchased this for my wife who is obsessed by American Bison or Buffaloes as most of us call them. So, it is more of a joke than a gift, but it is surprisingly well detailed. It will probably end up in the grand kids toy box we keep for their visits. Would make a nice display item in a western themed area or a diorama.

This detailed model of a buffalo...or is he a North American Bison?...has joined our little family of animal figures and he could not be happier. I say "he" because this dude is unmistakably a male, that's how realistic and detailed the figure is. He is a good size and weight to become the de facto patriarch of our little collection of buffalo and bison figurines. The fact that we are also Buffalo Bills fans in this house is a nice side benefit, but the animal's main purpose is as a companion for my 5 year old daughter. When she opened the package she exclaimed, "Daddy! It's a yak!" So perhaps he's a yak. I'm not one to argue. Either way this is a quality animal and we love him very much.

I have a small collection of bison figures so it was fun to add this guy to the crew. He's very realistic and painted nice.

Is it still hoarding if it is small, realistic dinosaur and animal figurines? I think not! I only collect well-made and sophisticated looking figurines! And they will never be lonely! They are happily and rapidly becoming a herd though and it's certainly better than collecting golf balls or ballpoint pens, that's fer shur! This bison is so well made, finished and painted! It now stands proudly next to my Bull Elephant and Velociraptor! Am I a mountain man now? Heh. I highly recommend this handsome little Buffler!

Nice toy with a surprising level of realism. I was actually surprised by how well painted it was. The bison feels sturdy and heavy in my hands. It's not cheaply made, that much I can tell. This item is a nice and somewhat practical toy for a child learning about animals. Overall a good product, it meets my expectations.
