These things are JUNK!! We need to start buying American made tools and parts because China COULD build with better quality but won't, cuz they suck. Dont buy these things unless you want to go to the ER after one of these things comes apart!! Cuz they are made with tin foil! Smh

These hones arrived well packaged and quickly. In the box are 3 spring loaded hones, with stones attached. Also included are a spare set of stones. The large hone worked perfect. I used it to hone the cylinder walls on a air compressor block, and it did exactly what was expected, which was to polish the cylinders, remove glaze, and create a nice crosshatch pattern, without taking off too much stock.I have not yet used the medium hone, though the construction is similar to the large hone, so I expect no issues. The smaller hone is a slightly different design than the others. I have tried using this on a few different things, and found the spring load to be a little bit finnaky, when it comes to self-centering in the hole. It took a little bit of patience and adjusting the method I was using, but ultimately was able to get the rhythm down to be successful.I recommend ensuring you have either a good coating of oil, or water based coolant, of course. To keep it simple, for me I was able to get away with just spraying WD-40 on the walls, however again, I am working on an air compressor, which is not as precision as a car engine, for example.Bottom line-you are getting these presumably because you know what they are, and how to use them. They are pretty forgiving, being self-centering, just be aware that like any hone, these will generate some heat, and if you aren't keeping things cool and rinsed, will eventually clog. That said, if you are familiar with using hones, these are a solid choice. Of course they aren't Snap-Ons, but you also aren't paying Snap-On prices.

Seems to be good value for the money. Used on a couple small engines which is what I primarily purchased it for. Cleaned the cylinder walls pretty well in my opinion. I would definitely recommend for a diy person. Not sure how they would stand in a every day user.
